If Reggie can catch the ball out of the back field and make consistent plays like he did last week.. Henne's stats certainly will look wondrous and we'll say he's arrived.
why bother wasting your money? you already have it in your mind how chad is going to perform. are you just hoping you get some "i told you so" ammo?
it isn't just bush who's saying good things about henne this season.Well, in all fairness to Bluefin....... I would take Marshall/Hartline and Fasano more to heart about Henne then Reggie Bush. I mean they only played with the guy for a couple years, and they pretty much gave up on him.
But it is a new year, and Henne may have grown. Its nice to see Bush give a positive look to Henne. Maybe, just maybe, Henne can be more consistant and improve. We shall see. But there is no agenda in taking what Bush says with a grain of salt, especially the short time he has had to work with Henne. Taking into account what the players who actually catch the majority of passes think of him. Or, thought of him.
your actions don't match your words. Do I think you're a fan? yes. do I think you want chad to succeed? maybe. do I think you're trying to make it easier on yourself if he doesn't? absolutely.Because I am a real fan Bill, I go down to camp every year and go to games as much as possible. Your out of your mind if you think I want Henne to be bad, as I've said, I bought a Henne jersey at the Jets game last year...yeah I am really out to get Henne. I would love to come back here after this season and admit to all of you I was dead wrong...but thats not what I feel in my gut after watching his play the last two years...I see no real consistency to his play, and I see bad passes in crunchtime...which indicates a choker to me. I will be wearing his jersey at the game Saturday Night, and I will be hoping he plays well again...two good outings would be some semblence of consistency beginning.
But I cannot close my eyes to what I see when the game is over.

well boys.. we won't know for sure until the games are played for real. I like what Ive seen so far though.
And your point is? You can have all the hope you want about a transformation of Chad Henne, that he will suddenly gain instincts he has never shown. But the last two years of actual play speak for themselves, whether I saw it on TV or at the stadium(I do go to games, do you?)
By no ones estimation has Henne played well the last two years.
Henne had a miserable season that started in late August when a report came out that Bill Parcells was very disappointed in Henne’s development, continued when he was benched for Chad Pennington in November (only to have Pennington predictably get injured), and finished with him injured and on the sidelines watching Tyler Thigpen run the offense into the ground. In between, Henne threw 19 interceptions and put up several horrendous stat lines, including a 5-of-18, 55-yard “performance” against the Jets and a 6-of-16, 71-yard clunker in New England. About the only thing that went Henne’s way was that the team failed in their bid to trade up into the third round and draft Ryan Mallett to replace him. It’s possible that the coaches and players have lost confidence in Henne, but if he does return as the starter, there are reasons to think he is poised for a bounce-back year. Henne had exceptionally bad luck with his turnovers last year. According to our game charters, defenders only dropped one potential interception, meaning that almost every time Henne threw the ball in a bad spot, he didn’t get away with it. Assuming defenders don’t have a cheat code, that’s unlikely to happen again. Meanwhile, Henne’s yardage, completion percentage and yards per attempt all climbed for the third straight season.

I understand that.
But you have to keep it in perspective here too. You are asking certain people to completely forget the last 2 years. Forget what current and ex Phin players said about Henne, implied or just showed their frustration on the field.
You want them to forget that and agree with what Someone like Bush said after 25 days, Someone who is not a primary receiving target on this team,
You can't call that agenda ridden. Yes we have hopes, and would like Henne to turn it around. But it's the same song and dance we have heard for a while now. When Henne shows consistancy, and actually shows up in a relevant game where DC'S will actually be calling games for real, then we can start listening to Bush and realize that he might atually be getting better.
I think I saw him roll his eyes though, which we all know means he hates Henne.
