Reggie Bush

Am I wrong or Welker is still returning kickoffs for the Cheatriots? If he is arguably the second best player on that offence, why are we "saving" Bush and not putting him on KR and PR duties?

He is a worse Ginn. He is a luxury for a team that needs the basics.

Who cares that he said on preseason that he wants to be a featured back? The numbers told those knuckleheads that he can´t be that.

Look, everyone is over analyzing this. Here is the basic truth. He can't break a tackle and he can't move a pile. He is just not strong enough. He goes down way to easy. People are tackling him with one arm and throwing him back. All the rest of it is irrelevant and just talk. He could be an edge runner or a slot receiver, but he just can't run unless there is a really big hole, which in the NFL is not too often.

I hated Bush over Sproles and I get to watch him out perform Bush week after week. He has made a play for the Saints in every game. Barry Sanders was great and great is just that in any era or situation. I've had this discussion with people about Marino but you cannot dispute greatness. 10:06:54 AM was a great back who was similar to Sanders who racked up tons of yardage but even he wasn't the player Sanders was. Barry played with Herman Moore and the only player to leave our team and actually suck in Scott Mitchell.

not surprised. Could have had a better player in Sproles and saved a draft pick and cap space.

STUPID IRELAND

Darren Sproles signed a bigger money deal with New Orleans, and we swapped draft choices.

I'd rather have Bush than Jonathan Amaya anyway.

Only this regime would think Bush is an every down back, that can run between the tackles.

Sproles doesnt compare to Bush!! Open your eyes and watch the game. Look at NO offensive line then look at ours.. Plus, Bush is New to Running in between the tackles so give the man a littlle time he avg 3.0 yrds a carry! DUCKS

I'm more pissed off at the coaching staff for misusing Bush. Play him to his strengths.. but no.. they're caving in to his desire to be an 'every down back'. Screw it. We all know what he does best.. make sure he does only that. Same goes with all our "playmakers".

well, Chris Johnson had a 24 carry for 53 yards game...the difference is they'll stick with him. Bush isn't going to always get positive yards, and he isn't the type that can push a pile for a couple yards when the blocking fails. So, you either choose to live with that, or you choose not to. I can understand not wanting to live with that, and DT seems able to get those yards, which means Bush's role as a runner will be limited...which means, he's going to have to accept it, and ask to be moved to WR.

Bush still think he's at USC, the NFL is bigger, better, faster, and stronger. The west to east running , do not work in the NFL.

Bush has been tackled with one arm this year...on one play. His problem is not a physical problem, while he will never break tackles like Brandon Jacobs he has run tough and not always gone down easy. If Brandon Jacobs spent most of his time running sideways, he wouldn't have a good YPC either.

It's hard to tell his true value/potential with this current regime. I think he is retained and a new regime can use him successfully. Trust me ... he'd be having a great year in NE.

That line is getting old (not by you, in general). Seems like everyone else know his value pretty well. Especially NO. It is exactly what you see.

He averaged under 4 ypc in some seasons in NO. I guess it was just a terrible coaching staff too.
