Report: Candidates being steered away from Dolphins GM job

There are a lot of hungry, well deserving guys in the league who would love the chance to become GM. A few rumors and rumbles are not going to kill dreams.
 
does this surprise anyone? If it looks dysfunctional, and smells dysfunctional, it probably is.

Until Ross hires a full time football guy as President, this will be the norm.

Sometimes stellar candidates will refuse an interview knowing they will get an interview for a better situation later. Sometimes less than stellar candidates will take any interview for a potential promotion that they are offered.
 
Just hire Farmer and be done with it. I am tired of the constant gossiping that continues to further pour dirt on the Dolphins brand.

Ross must truly be Mr. Magoo not to see all the damage he continues to do to his brand due to his indecisiveness and half measures.

All of these article get published reworded in a slightly different way.

Candidates scared to come to Miami because.
1) Ross in China, Ross travelling
2) Aponte
3) Philbin Lame Duck
4) Jeff Ireland may have snaked Cleveland

I am beginning to think that profootballtalk is some sort of google spam article bot designed to spit out as many articles as possible.

Of course some on this board take every negative article and pee themselves with excitement when they see it because it validates their world view.

Pretty much. I read PFT and Florio is a huge WV fan.

When the Dolphins drafted Pat White, Florio kept talking him up and declared himself "now a Dolphins fan." I'd bet he even bought a jersey. When the Dolphins cut him, he got real sour on the team.

Is what it is.
 
Also, Ross needs to start playing the game and cozying up to the media types so they aren't taking the Dolphins over the coals at every turn.

The Patriots are media darlings not only because they win, but because Kraft knows how to play the media game. They had a mass murderer on their squad and it didn't stick to their brand whatsoever. You can bet if there was a mass murderer on the Dolphins, the media would still be inserting it into any and every article they could that relates to the team.
