Report: Colts will cut Manning before the combine

I wouldn't touch this guy with a 10 foot pole. I understand we have dreams of franchise QB grandeur, but to invest that kind of $ and you're not sure what the long term effect will be; not a good move.

I don't see any team signing him without protecting themselves.

I understand the Colts doing what they've got to do, but the way they've handled this has been awful. Not surprising really, given that Irsay is a contemptible drunk who told the entire world (via twitter) that the Colts were drafting Andrew Luck fourteen weeks ago.

At least they are cutting him rather than trading him. Like we did with Zach. Let him decide where to go play

only reason they would be cutting him would be to save 28 mil in cap. trades would begin the week after if i am not mistaken

And even though I wanted Luck if he does end up staying with Indianapolis I hope he busts. Though chances are he won't. He's

The NFL's a cruel business. Manning put that franchise back on the map, and now he's getted tossed out like yesterday's garbage.

Good "Luck", Indy.... come on down, Manning!!! Thank you Jesus for giving us a second chance for messing up on Brees! :)

Big "IF" he is healthy, you do whatever it takes to bring him down. If your and his doctors are unsure, make it a contract heavy with health incentives. You give him a full offseason with our team and watch what he can do. You don't even need a great O-line; look at what he worked with in Indy. One starter would go down and any scrub would just fill in and do fine because he releases the ball so quick and reads defenses so well. Pick up/draft a TE, one OL, pass rusher and a safety and here we ride into the post season.

$28M....no way were they going to pay that, they already paid him $26M for this past season and he wore a baseball cap.

That's a lot a cash for so many question marks.

But not a lot for a near sighted dumb organization like Miami.

$100 says we Sign Peyton, don't draft a QB, Draft Coples at #9.

Any takers?

Peyton, Reggie, Marshall?

The final piece to regaining our homefield advantage is Peyton Manning.

Sure we have to go through with the semantics . . . but if the man is healthy this move needs to be done. I think a requirement for Peyton is that whatever team he goes to needs to play the Colts next year . . . . we play the ****ing Colts next year

I am not as excited about those guys as I am 2 ppl in his offense, Bush as a 4th Option on spread, and most importantly Bess. You know what he can do with Bess out there?

He made 2 white boys no one knows about anymore into premier WR.

3rd neck/cervical surgury in 19 months
the last one being a spinal fusion Sept. 8.
The surgery was intended to repair a damaged nerve
in his neck that caused weakness in his throwing arm.

I have my doubts that he will play again

The total compensation Manning would cost the Colts is $35.4 million. That is the combination of his option payment and his 2012 salary. No way the Colts keep him

And his doctor said there would be a 90 percent chance for a full recovery.
