Report: Peyton Manning cleared to resume NFL Career

This is media HYPE, DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE PEOPLE.

If the colts end up cutting Peyton this is his insurance blanket for others teams to pick him up. It would be the worse decision in franchise history if the dolphins try and sign Peyton Manning.

There's plenty of moves in our franchise history that are worst than getting a healthy Peyton Manning. :err:

Only on finheaven do posters not want Manning. Ridiculous.

i believe if the colts try to trade manning they will take a 32 million dollar cap hit this season. as crazy as it sounds i think the colts are planning on just cutting peyton

It's really not all that crazy. It's already been stated that you would have to cut basically every serviceable veteran on that team to keep Manning there. They messed up by backloading everyone's contract and now Manning has to leave. Colts will resign good vets and sign Andrew Luck.

The worst decision in the history of THIS franchise would be to sign PEYTON MANNING?...

... I just don't know where some of you people come from...

You got to love Finheaven wisdom.

If it's true that he's medically cleared, then we've gotta go after him at the very least. It'd be a mistake for us NOT to give him a good look. He makes our team a 10x better. Marshall would go nuts if we brought him in and he's ready to go!

Don't sensationalize the Colts cutting Manning. It doesn't mean that they think he's hurt (he might be, but he's going to be let go regardless). This is a glaringly obvious business related decision.

You gave me back the cancer that the peyton manning cleared to play news had previously cured...

I personally think its worth the risk. Drew Brees was a risk the Phins didn't take.
If I'm Manning I don't want to play for the Colts. They have an old, depleted roster and will be re-building. I think the Phins are an ideal fit. Solid defense with younger veteran players, young offense with good receivers and 2 premier O-lineman and the 8/9th pick in the draft to fix one the few holes on the team (and an owner who is willing to spend in FA to fill other holes).
Quite frankly when I look at the upcoming SB, what really separates the Pats/Giants from the Phins is a QB. I would argue that the Pats have more holes on their team (aside from QB) than the Phins. They do have a coach that knows how to mask their talent deficiencies (especially on defense) and a franchise QB. But make no mistake, they have plenty of blemishes.

Like the poster above me just said. YOU GOTTA RISK IT ALL TON WIN IT ALL YOU CAN'T WIN **** BEING CONSERVATIVE HENCE LIKE SPARANO!

Sign Manning and draft a young guy in round 2, unless Philbin believes Flynn can play at Rodgers-level.
