Report: Peyton Manning cleared to resume NFL Career

Too much back and forth comments to put stock in anything the papers say at this point. Yes a healthy Manning would be interesting. You would be fearful not looking into it, the last thing you need is another Drew Brees thing. That being said, I'm so tired of the name Manning. If I could choose, I'd take a top draft QB instead. We need to relearn how to groom a QB. There is more pride in it as a fan as well.

you do realize it's February right ?

therefore you do realize everyone is getting excited about something they don't know a thing about, whether it will heal or not outside of February.

I'm all for signing Peyton Manning 100% if he becomes available and feel its the LOWEST risk highest reward move we can possibly make as long contract is done right and structured in a way where he only gets the big bucks if he plays. Think about it, if we bring in Manning and he's healthy we get a future HOF QB for 2 to 3 years. If he can't play we get Matt Moore, a very CHEAP QB who went 6-3 over his last 9 starts.

Think about backing up the Brinks truck for Matt Flynn and having him be not much better than Matt Moore, which lets face it there is a much, much better chance of than there is that Flynn becomes anything close to Peyton Manning or a superstar franchise QB. Giving Flynn a Kolb like contract is a HUGE risk, to me an even bigger one than Peyton.

their is no one in the draft we can select that would have even close to the impact manning would have.

we can still draft a qb and he can sit for a few years, because we all know manning prob does not have more than 4 years left and thats prob being generous. he prob will play for 2-3 more years. he has accomplished enough.

get manning at all costs, and when i say all costs i mean all costs, whatever the **** he wants, he will pay his own salary by the ticket sales he would bring, the dolphin merchandise bought, all that crap, and even if hes only 85 percent, he will give us a legitimate shot at a superbowl each year.

It's going to come down to us and Arizona. We've got a good shot. Please lord make this happen.

does anyone think he wants to come here & play in this division when he could go to arizona?

Just think about all the "roughing the passer" flags with the way they are calling games today compounded with the fact that this is a post-surgery Manning.

This is friggin peyton manning!!!!??? Peyton manning!!!! He didn't get horrible over night...screw flynn draft a qb in the 2nd or 3rd and make this happen!! At the very least 2nd round of the playoffs for sure.

i dont know if it means anything, but their was a report that fitz and manning were having dinner tonight. i hope fitz does not to do good a job recruiting manning lol, because the appeal of playing with fitz is pretty enticing.

if you break down miami and arizona, here it is.

talent wise- i would say we are both pretty even on offense, we both have stud wr, although fitz is a bit better than marshall prob, and we may have a better run game now with bush being reborn. manning makes any offense better.

defense- both talented, i dont see a drastic difference.

cities- phoenix- nice weather- miami- nice weather

division- arizona nfc west- no tom brady to deal with, but he would have to face that physical 49ers defense 2 times a year, then again he would also get to face the atrocious rams 2 times and the seahawks 2 times also.

miami- afc east- has to be in the same division as tom brady, but all in all, it would be a nice little thing for them to be able to continue arguably the greatest non division rivalry in the nfl.

basically, their are no real drastic differences in both cities/teams. both have talent, both need a qb, both play in nice cities, miami has a better night life but i dont think manning is that type of guy, in the end money will prob talk and recruiting cant hurt. we can possibly get a 2 for 1 with peyton bringing reggie wayne.

Peyton manning will only give us 2 or 3 more years even if he can make us super bowl contenders it wont be for long we need a dynasty which starts with a young franchise quarterback
wow! really ? if and when he gets released,
i'll take my chances with peyton manning for the next 2 or 3 years if manning signs with the fins,

It's funny. All Mike and Mike talk about is Manning going to the Jets. I wouldn't go to that train wreck of a team if I was him. I think the Philbin is the right coach along with Sherman to make it work for Manning. Of all the other teams wanting him, the Fins I think have the best coaching staff to get him to another SB.

I thought Peyton, or someone, said that he wouldn't steal Eli's thunder by going to NY?
