It was way more then the Cribbs contract that just happened to be the most public and caused a huge out cry from the fan base and it was the straw that broke the camels back because she embarrassed Holmgrem right after he took over. There is plenty of more documentation out there of the rift Aponte caused in the Browns front office. Your grown ups you can do some research.

Not to defend Aponte, but Cribbs' agent complaining about a contract offer doesn't mean much. He was a punt returner mostly, at the time and I guess she put a value on it she thought it was worth. Interestingly enough, the league changed the return rules the very next year, making Cribbs a less valuable commodity, and since she is so plugged in, maybe she knew that was coming, who knows.

Actually Cribs was a all pro returner, he was being used in the wildcat and as a wr that season Cribbs was widely used in all areas of the game.

I think you are a snake. Dawn Aponte did the best thing for the Dolphins, for football in Florida, for the fans. Dawn Aponte is a saint.

Aponte is no Saint and you will all find out by this time next year. She applied for a position at the League Office and withdrew her name from consideration. My guess is she knew she probably would not get it. I think she along with the person who occupies the Head Coaching position are the remaining residue that needs to be cleaned out.

I believe he should of step down, the head coach should be the only one making decisions on the coaching staff. If the owner or GM is making decisions for the Head coach then their is no purpose for the head coach.

She pulled the same exact **** there she is pulling here and when the GM was fired she tried to hard ball Josh Cribbs and he was gonna walk so as soon as Holgrems was hired she was shown the door.

Aponte's job is tough negotiations. Her job is to get good players under contract without busting the cap because some players have a monumental ego.
Joshua Cribbs is a receiver who is mainly used in the return game. In 2009 he had 3 return TDs. You know how many he had since? 0. Zero. Nill. Null. Nada.
He had 5 receiving TDs since and none in the last two years.

Aponte did what Aponte's job is: shut down player agents who have clients with to much ego.

Philbin's inability to recognise problems and correct them in a timely manner will get him fired even if Aponte is in his corner.

His handling of the Martin/Icognito situation was the exact opposite of what you claim here.

I am serious and it is one of many links out there covering Aponte the browns office and what went down. Your a big boy so you can go research my post from 2010 and you will see I was against hiring her and have been against her, just as I was against Parcells, Ireland, Sparano, etc. As for you comment that's her job, well actually no it wasn't she over stepped her bounds and Holmgrem showed her the door, mean while Cribbs got his new deal.
