Reports Out Of Ny - Manning Doesnt Want To Play In San Diego

This is true.

A physician I work with is an Ole Miss alumnus. He's good friends with one of the highway patrol guys in this area. Last saturday, he went with the highway patrol guy to escort Archie Manning to some alumni fundraising function in Kosiusko, MS. Archie mentioned to those two that they had told San Diego that they do not want to play in San Diego. Their choice would be the New York Giants. They are urging San Diego to make the deal with New York.

Yup. Apparently the Mannings have no confidence in the SD front office, and they worry the OL will get him killed. They also want a big market city (New York is the top choice)

Reports like this came out about Palmer in Cinncinati too. He said it wasn't true and that he hopes to come in any franchise and help out. I mean any person with the attitute of choosing who he wants to play with knowing that the draft tradition has been the same for years wont make a very long run as a pro leader and therefore they will fail.

well alright, we'll take him then, just let him drop to the #20 spot...tell Archie he needs to plant some Coccaine in Eli's bag come draft day, and mysteriously have it 'found" as he walks in the door. That should make him drop like a rock.

Ya know ,when I wrote that I knew someone was going to bring Elway into it, BTW, that is why I put "DON'T NORMALLY" in quotes, hoping everyone would figure that out, but obviously NOT....also one example is not compelling on your part.

Welllll, if you want to get technical about it how about one more from that same draft...Jim Kelly. Played his first two seasons with the Houston Gamblers.

Eli better pack on some wt to take the hits he will recieve in Boltville! dolfanreal69

If Manning gets to go to NY and play for the Giants as he wants to, he'll likely double his salary or come close to it as opposed to San Diego. The endorsement opportunities are just that much better there.

San Diego doesn't exactly have many good recievers now that they've ridded themselves of Boston. They are down to Tim Dwight, who didn't fare well in San Diego, the often injured Reche Caldwell and Eric Parker. I see them staying with Drew Brees and trading down with the Giants. Then with the #4 they would be wise to take the best reciever on the board, someone like Roy Williams.

I hope so, but dont think so. The biggest So Cal news story this week has been the feuding in the Chargers FO over Manning and Rivers....according to reports. Could be smokescreen....

OOOOHHHHHHHHH, Poor little Eli doesn't want to make millions of dollars playing for the Chargers. I say tough **** if I were in the Chargers war room I would drat him. These guys do not get to pick and choose who drafts them.
