Are you trying to make a point or just stringing words together hoping something sticks? I'm happy to debate this point, but you have to present a better argument than putting words in my mouth and backhand attempts to call me a "fruitloop dingus." If you're talking pro wins and losses, Philbin has like what one more win than Carroll had his 1st two years? Not to mention, Carroll made the playoffs his first year. Not to mention, the extraordinary reputation for success he had built on the college level. He's a far more dynamic figure. The direction and overhaul the Seahawks took was far more promising and decisive. He didn't have any bullygate debacles. I've always liked Carroll and thought he got a bum wrap his first nfl stops. The Seahawks achievements haven't surprised me. You could see any number of positive signs on that team that were beneath the surface of the understandably underwhelming win-loss growing pains a team with a new HC will always go through. In the case of Philbin, he has no real success on any level, in any form. These two years have been rife with ominous, red flags as to what kind of coach he is (bullygate, late season collapse, suspensions). He's getting this 3rd year regardless. I hope he's as successful as Carroll was in his 3rd year, but it would surprise me.
