The fact that we are paying Moore 5mil shows how ****ing terrible Ireland is/was! Is it guaranteed of course it is because it is a Ireland deal! Probably cost us 6 to dump him.

The combined salaries of Tanny and Moore are cheap though because Tanny is on a rookie contract. That's why you're looking at it from a skewed perspective. If they could have found a viable backup to replace Moore that's a whole other issue. However they couldn't and didn't.

God help this team if Tanny goes down and Grossman is our guy or worthless shmucks named Quinn/Skelton. Put it this way, there isn't a player on this planet we could bring in with Moore's savings so why risk it at the game's most pivotal position?

Sounds like the situation is in a holding pattern right now, but Quinn more likely than others who tried out today.

The Dolphins, at this point, are not likely to sign Grossman or Skelton. Quinn still a possibility, but they also could opt to stand pat.

In wake of today’s QB workouts, Dolphins have the most interest in signing Brady Quinn, per sources. Situation in a holding pattern for now

John Skelton is unlikely to be signed by the Dolphins. Brady Quinn remains in the hunt and team is also considering "other options.

Though Brady Quinn signed with Fox recently,Fox understands his preference is to play this season. So Quinn remains possibility for Miami.

... Dolphins might look at other QBs, too, with Josh Freeman, Kevin Kolb, Seneca Wallace among others still available.

If we have to sign a QB, and it appears we do because of injuries, it should definitely be a veteran who can learn quickly. All we really needs to someone to run the offense in preseason practices and collect a paycheck for a few weeks, and then file for unemployment in September.

Has anyone noticed the Offense we are running? It is the exact same spread option that Tebow ran so well. None of the other QBs on any list (including Matt Moore) is a running threat.

Please don't even begin to suggest Tebow should be signed. Btw, Nick Foles wasn't exactly a running threat.

I never saw the Eagles play so i have so idea it they ran the spread option or not. This was the same offense that Tannehill ran at at A&M.

I do know this.

You do know that Rex Grossman was a Gator...........

s a college quarterback, Grossman led the Florida Gators to the 2000 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship, the 2001 Sugar Bowl, the 2002 Orange Bowl and the 2003 Outback Bowl. He was a consensus first-team All-American and was the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in 2001.

Grossman spent most of his first three NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears sidelined with injuries. He completed his first full NFL season in 2006, leading the Bears to a National Football Conference Championship and a Super Bowl berth. He lost his starting job three weeks into the 2007 season, and primarily served as the team's backup quarterback afterward. He spent a year as a back-up quarterback for the Houston Texans in 2009, before becoming the Washington Redskins' starting quarterback in the final three games of the 2010 season.
