Rex Ryan keeping his job, making the game meaningless for jets

Only in Hayden's world can a team with out a playoff shot = doing a good job this year.

But a team with a good chance at the number 6 seed = not a leader of men.

Snakes I tell you! Snakes!

I got to be honest. You are crazy if you think that I am the only one that thinks Rex has done a good job. Also, I have praised Joe for keeping the team together. However, I think it is his management style that has got the team through this and not necessarily his leadership skills.

The finish to the first Buffalo game, the piss poor start and finish to the Bucs game, the terrible management of double digit leads to the Pats and Panthers and the lousy effort in Buffalo...I cannot give him a hall pass on those. Those losses were on coaching predominantly IMO.

Joe accomplished better results than rex last year despite "not having talent". This year joe's team is better again. Rex has had his hand in the personnel decisions since he has been there. It's time rex put his big boy coaching pants on and start developing talent.

No doubt the jets players breathed a sigh of relief tonight, their jobs are much safer

Not with the new GM. That is not true.

Rex has been **** since losing Revis showing, once again, how one great player can make all the difference.

Rex is an intelligent coach that can create dynamic defense game plans and also energize players to play above their heads...maybe tomorrow that will demonstrated?

You are right. He also has shown nothing as far and coaching offense and is questionable at best at managing a roster. Yeah he is not the GM but you can't seriously think he doesn't have say on personnel. And if you don't think the guy is clueless about offense, he picked Sparano as an OC.

I will be delighted if he stays. Always entertaining in the division and will remain mediocre as a head coach, ensuring the Jets go nowhere.

The guy is great as a defensive coach and he would be an asset to any NFL teams coaching staff. Head coach? Nope.

i would not be surprised one bit if the Jets are looking at draft position going into next year, there are many teams right around 7-8 to 8-7, win and you pick around 20 lose you pick around 13, could be the difference in getting the player they target or missing out, this bodes well for us if true, LETS GO MIAMI.

Not reality. NFL teams don't suck on purpose for draft position. High picks don't guarantee anything anyways. It is a fan myth.

Rex will be the bane of our existence, put it in the book.

Delusional.

Yep. I think Tony, Bowles and Joe have all done well against him. However, there are 14 other games on the sked. By my account, if he wins tomorrow, he is in second place, ahead of Joe Philbin. Yet, Rex's roster was gutted and Joe's team went all in this year. Rex is a heck of a coach.

Yeah I can't believe how smoothly everything went for Philbin and the Phins over the course of this season. Especially our exceptional off the field behavior and staying out of the spotlight for negative reasons.

Go suck on some toes.
