Richard Marshall is a excellent pick up for our secondary

Ya this guy will be a solid player for us. Versatile player, can play corner and saftey. I def like the pick up. Arizona was upset about losing him.

I'm not overly excited about it because I don't think Marshall is that great of a player but we definitely did need depth there and he is a good pickup for that. Who knows though... maybe he can be our next Andre Goodman. Goodman was fairly average at best and then turned in a fantastic season for us(right before we let him go).

I think it's a good pick-up.  I don't know how good Marshall will be individually, but overall it boosts the unit and adds depth.  The rest is up to Coyle - he was part of a Bengals staff that got a lot out of no-name guys on defense, so I am hoping he can maximize the talent we have.  It's possible that we underestimate the talent on the roster due to the previous coaching staff's blunders, though Nolan was a good D coord.

foozool13, i really like that dolphins logo

Thanks, but I cant take credit for it. I saw it on a site (see link below pic) and really liked it. The guy also did a bunch of other teams. Check it out.

he could be a better safety than corner but we'll see. I liked him coming out of college so I'm happy we got him.

Ozzy rules!!

The way the NFL is evolving we need a solid group of corners...especially when you play Brady twice a year

He is not going to set the world alight, but Marshall can fill in at safety, nickelback (although he is not suited per se) and cornerback at a pinch. It is hard to find that kind of flexibilty. I quite like the look of the corner position now, Davis, Smith and Marshall are all worthy of a starting spot at CB in the NFL. Now get on those jug machines boys!

We need somebody to push our starting corners... they are under performing, to say the least.

I am a Carolina Panthers fan and I saw him play alot. He is a very good CB. I was shocked Carolina didnt resign him.

IMO he needs to be starting at FS or CB to be worth his contract, thats alot of money for a nickel back or just depth in the secondary, but i like the player.
