Richie Incognito Knocks Out Bouncer at Club Liv (incorrect title)

I was a bouncer for 13 years here in Tampa and ran security at the most popular clubs in west-central Florida. If one of my bouncers took a swing on a patron first he got fired immediately. No questions asked. I'm assuming that this idiot bouncer is no longer employed by Liv.

And in those 13 years how many times did you have a guy Trespassed that was being a Good Samaritan and helping you break up a fight?

Someone made the statement that Richie said he's cleaning up his image, but that he continues to make mistakes "on the field". Really, give one example? Did you know it's a FACT that Richie has not had a single personal foul penalty thrown against him since he's worn a Dolphins uniform? Not ONE! If he was SO DIRTY, you'd think he'd get ONE?!?!?!.. but nope, not a single one.

I didn't know that. I'm not going to jump up and down for joy over this because this is actually how it should be for all players. But I do believe in Joe Philbin. He got rid of Brandon Marshall, Vontae Davis, Karlos Dansby among others that are pretty good football players but he found them to be questionable characters for what the team is trying to accomplish. If Joe Philbin deems Richie Incognito worthy of being on the team I am totally ok with it.

Care to retract that statement?

Incognito picked up a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty for shoving Titans linebacker Colin McCarthy’s face into the turf, and McCarthy became the latest player to label Incognito dirty.

“That was kind of dirty,” McCarthy said, via the Sun-Sentinel. “Obviously he got flagged for it, which was nice to see. I don’t know what his intentions were, but that’s on him.”

McCarthy said he told Incognito he didn’t appreciate it.

“I just said it was dirty,” McCarthy said. “We’re trying to play football. Obviously, it was a stupid play. They had a first down on the play and that forced them into first and 25. It was a big play in the game, and we’ll take it.”

Incognito agreed with the “stupid” characterization.

“It was a dumb penalty,” Incognito said. “It definitely hurt the team. It pushed us out of points. It was a mistake on my part.”

Dolphins coach Joe Philbin benched Incognito for that mistake. And sitting on the bench is not a badge of honor.

Bottom line here is Incognito always seems to find himself in the middle of NONSENSE like this and personally Im pretty much tired of his act.

I hope we find a good LG to play for us next season that plays the game the right way, dosent need to play dirty to "psych himself up" or whatever it is that people suggest "its how he plays and he wouldnt be the same player if he didnt do this stuff" nonsense, keeps his mouth shut, and just gets the job done..

You guys can keep sticking up for him if you want, but Im over Incognito. Just block someone and stfu Ritchie.

Flynryan is right when he suggests if Incognito played for another team, especially the Jests, most of you would sing the exact opposite tune in regards to this clown.

just get rid of um, we don't need the distraction this dude is becoming.

How has Schefter and ESPN NOT put out thre "rest of the story" by now? Shameful.

Okay I'm confused. People are supposedly "tired" of his antics, and he should be off the team. Granted the guy isn't a pro bowler but he's solid, and what backup (because they are supposedly stellar) in your estimation would replace him in our already inadequate line? I'll wait on your response...............

Well I don't think Evan Rodfriguez has any character but he is still on team. I think this character issue has been somewhat overblown. Dansby was a good player who had a damn fine year but he cost a lot of money.

they don't have a solution. People around here just tend to like having whipping boys (ie someone to bitch about).

Well actually he is a pro bowler he was last year at least. Im not sure how or why but he is. He is a solid guard but pro bowler ummm ok. As for the incident none of us know what happened with bouncer. We have some that will always believe a dolphin player was never in wrong. when Ronnie Brown got a DUI people were trying to call its an act of probable racism.

Look, the bottom-line is that Richie brings a lot of this on himself. Regardless of whether he put himself in the sensationalist, irresponsible media's crosshairs or not, if there was a culpability he'd have been cited. Since police reports confirm he was the victim (let no good deed go unpunished), it's just reprehensible for Shefter and other agenda-driven hacks to perpetuate this smear tactic and then quietly without any mea culpa revise their information after the horse is out of the barn. Personally, I would hope that some local politician or law enforcement official has the gumption to bring criminal assault charges against Smith, hockey-style since this was a potentially lethal weapon attack.

Beyond the foregoing, anything else is conjecture, and likely subjectively axe-2-grind level agenda-driven

Actually Bill I have a solution and I already suggested it.

In fact I would have gone ahead and found his replacement this offseason. I would say that not taking care of this was one of the few things Ireland did not do right this offseason.

He will not be resigned after this year and we will have no choice but to get a new Left interior cornfed for next season.

Adam Schefter just reported on NFL Insiders that Incognito got into an altercation with a bouncer at the Fontainebleau and knocked him out with one punch right before training camp. The hotel refuses to release the video but Schefter said the NFL is interested in looking at the video.

EDIT: He also talked about Incognito's history with all of the fines, Darnell Dockett of the Cardinals just tweeted this:

Pot meet kettle. Ask dockett about Earnest Graham.

who knows. he's biding our young guys some time along the OL. one of them may be ready to step in next season
