Ricky coming back for the $$$$

I absolutely want him to come back. He had 1 great year and other than that he was average, he isn't regaining his '02 form and he'll be a detriment in the locker room so I absolutely want him to come back.

and what are the winning lotto #s nostradamus?? :)

I The Phins were in the norm in the situation that was presented to them.

i dont see many football players in the NFL who tried to retire, only to get a 8 million dollar debt placed on there heads, and forced to go back and play for the team they just left.

you might as well change the name on his jursey from Williams to IOWETHEMMONEY

Ricky isn't come back for just the money. He probably wouldn't even consider rejoining the Dolphins this year if Nick Saban hadn't of sought him out and begged him out of retirement. He's coming back because he feels more comfortable with the system than at anytime in the past and knows he'll have a coach that appreciates him.

That remains to be seen.

Let's see, he played 5 years and 4 of them were average w/ just 1 great one and now he has taken a year off of his prime. I'd be willing to guarantee he'll never approach '02 again. He also doesn't have the desire he had in '02, he is just coming back to collect a check.

taking a year off could also benefit him. he'll have fresh legs. will he have the strength in those legs? well that remains to be seen. 4 months to get in shape is a good start

Several? He only gave us 2 years.

Check my sig to see where the fins expect it to go.

that was R. Williams combining the seasons he played for the saints and fins.

he played his heart out. ran like a beast. decided to retire, and his team said, "FU*K that".

i can understang going after part of his signing bonus, (he did give you 2 years at a high level, only stopped by a one sided offensive scheme and horrible o-line.) but to go after his money from the saints also... just cus you can, doesnt mean you should. you should get some of your money back, and let it go. move on.

You don't see many players retiring before training camp. The only other time I remember that has happened is with Barry Sanders and he had to pay back part of his signing bonus.

true, but they didnt go after the money paid to him at the begining of his carrer.

i just think the fins were angry and hurt (they should have been), so they tried to screw him as bad as they could.

teams have a right to go after some of the signing bonus if a player retires soon after signing a contract (a few years). but to go after the money the saints paid him... :shakeno:

now its being dragged out, forcing him back.

mainly comming from the 2 1st rounders they gave up for him. teh fins just need to move on.

The HUGE difference is Barry had multiple contracts and Ricky had one.
