Ricky didn't like system

Where I work people leave all the time because they don't like where the company is headed and the decisions being made. Some come back and the good ones we let come back the bad ones well...

My industry as well. Maybe you don't feel he did anything wrong. If so, your opinion makes semse to me. I disagree. If he were in my industry and wanted to come back, I would tell him no. But if you feel what he did wasn't wrong or that it wasn't very bad, I understand.

Big Bucks and Aqua, I think you've managed to get most of the ones I remember too.

Which ones do you truly believe? To me, most of them sound like cop outs.

Honestly, I'm guessing there were multiple reasons. I think you also have to factor in his mental illness, which I'm sure didn't help his logical thought process. I'm guessing the failed drug test had a lot of bearing on his decision. I'm not sure even Ricky could tell you exactly whey he quit. Just my opinion.

As far as being embarrased about failing another drug test, EMBARRASED, that is just a joke to me. Why was he on the sideline pretending to smoke some type of cigarette during a game.

Part of his appeal to fans was the rasta antics. Dreadlocks, Bob Marley for a role model. Seriously Ricky, don't treat me like an idiot. You weren't trying to hide the fact you smoke weed. As fans, we deserve the real reasons. Only then I feel he can truly be welcomed back 100%.

On 60 minutes he said all the reasons were BS except that the drug testing was made public and he feared the world knowing he smoked dope. That sounds like BS to me, so I don't have any clue which of the reasons he gave is (are) the real reason(s).

Didn't Ricky also say that he wanted to travel the world and go back to school while he is still young and that was also factored in to his decision to quit? I'm almost positive that i read that somewhere last year.

This reminds me of the old Star Trek episode where they confused the robots with the phrase' "Everything I say is a lie. And if everything I say is a lie, then this is a lie." :roflmao:

Whoa, I blacked out there for a second trying to figure that one out.

I agree totally, the problem just wasn't he wanted to do something else, he got tired of the punishment he was taking.

He doesn't owe anybody any reason because you're not going to go along with it any way, that's why he left last year, we forget athletes are human also.
I don't like the way he did it but it was done will everyone please move on.

Are we to even take into account the countless other reasons he gave for quitting or do we just stick with this one because it is easy and absolves him of any personal accountability?

Yep, that's the one that allows everybody to live with themselves after they flip-flop their wishy-washy opinions.

Ricky didn't like to carry the da%$ ball 42 stinkin time with Seth Mckinney, Wade Smith and Todd Perry in front of him. Quitting was wrong, but Ricky did get his a%% kicked under the ?leadership? of Wanny.

First post for me, long time fin fan from RI. Ricky wasn't happy with the offensive gameplan while he was here. Can you blame him? Run twice, throw him a swing pass, then punt or get a 1st and do it over again. Here is where I'll speculate as to what I think happened. Instead of trashing Wannstedt and the rest of the coaching staff, he retired. He retired because he was unhappy about the fact he was getting killed every Sunday. Noboby was responsible for a larger percentage of their teams offense than Ricky was, so was it crazy for him to think he deserved more money. Face it folks, this is a result-driven industry, he's producing the most, deserves to get paid the most. Would you have rather he spoke out publicly against Wannstedt? What would have happened then? Like the rest of us, he was upset, like the rest of us, he wanted something to change. He couldn't speak up because he's not capable of doing it. I will welcome Ricky back and hope that he never publicly trashes Wannstedt, but I think he has every right to.

He retired b/c he was a pot smoking fiend who had lost his desire to play. Now realizing he'll be broke if he doesn't play he has no choice so he's coming back. Dolphin fans should be upset he's coming back.

la la la la la la la la la la la ONLY Ricky knows why Ricky quit. Only the dog knows if OJ did it EVERYTHING else is speculation. What he said on 60 minutes didnt even make any sense!!! The boy has issues period but I will still welcome him back

So, you work for the fun of it?
Most of us work so that we won't be broke, we have no choice either.
That's about the most normal thing about him.
