Ricky having 2nd thoughts about returning

Anyone who depends on Ricky is a worse nut case than him.I wont believe it until I see him on the field.

Well, the parsing of articles many weeks old is disingenuous, but it wouldn't have surprised me in the least if Rope HAD made those comments yesterday.

That's the bonus!

We're NOT depending on Ricky... we've got Ronnie. His coming back is just a bonus and will, if it indeed happens, create an uncommonly talented backfield. If not, we've still got Ronnie Brown, which is an exciting prospect in and of itself.

That doesn't mean however that there's any reason to have a personal vendetta against Ricky, and post false or misleading articles in order to support a flawed viewpoint.

Have you forgotten the article YOU wrote in which you listed 9 reasons not to welcome Ricky back?

How 'bout the fact that 1/3 of those points were related to Ricky's parental skills as opposed to anything related to football?

Or the fact that one of them was because of an interview he gave on 60 minutes.... or the fact that another was about a perfectly legal, albeit somewhat off the beaten path, alternative school he chose to go to.

In reality, less than half the points you list in that article are even related to football... and even the few that are have little to do with Ricky's coming back.

Then we can consider the nature of the format of the article itself... disorganize, with many grammatical and spelling errors... clearly written on pure emotion with little thought for the actual literary style.

So lets review:

-- Mike Olivia writes an article motivated purely by emotions and not facts.
-- Mike's article is tainted by "facts" that have less than a 50% relevancy rate to Ricky's relationship with the Miami Dolphins.
-- Mike links an article to support his stance, disregarding that the quote the whole article is based on was given over a month ago... and before it was even announced that Ricky would try to return.

"And the conclusion any rational person comes too after all of this is simple...." Mike Olivia has a personal vendetta against Ricky Williams, fueled by his feeling of betrayal, and his disapproval of Ricky's personal, off the field lifestyle.

I fail to see why anyone should take anything you have to say with even a modicum of seriousness.

0hhhh Maaaaaaannn..... Can I get a hell yea? Simply brilliant.

Thats one of the differences between Wanny and Saban.
Saban goes on about his business as though Ricky will not be around.
Wanny would have probably depended on Ricky coming back .I always felt nervous about not having an adequate backup to Ricky and my apprehension was justified by last years events.

As I have been saying for weeks. This nut-job doesn't know what he wants. This comment from Ricky says is it all.....(article from June 10th)

Williams, who, according to his agent Leigh Steinberg, will report to Miami Dolphins training camp in late July, has unsurprisingly gone from being "excited" about the prospect of his return to football, to being virtually clueless about it. And all in the time it might take him to inhale and exhale.

"I honestly do not know about playing football again," Williams said in a recent online interview with Sports Illustrated.

Is anyone shocked he is having 2nd thoughts?

As I have been saying. I will believe Ricky returns to the NFL when I see it. I don't think he ever puts on an NFL jersey again. Whether it be mini-camp, training camp, or a game.

That was from a very old article.....an interview he gave even before his agent stated that Ricky Williams would be coming back. So, nothing new here.

This is the ONLY article I have posted about Ricky on this message board! :rofl3: What are you talking about dude!

MikeO....Im a little confused. Are you the same Mike Olivia that wrote that article about Ricky Williams. If you arent...so be it. But you are trying to pass off that SI bit as recent and its not.

LOOK you idiot. I'm sure as the case is more often than not with the media his comment was probably taken out of context. He could just be concerned do to his time off what kind of shape he will be in, and if he will live up to his and everyone elses expectations.

do you see the comma at the end of Ricky's statement???

I can make your statement sound like something it's not in the same way.

Listen to this Quote by MikeO "I will believe Ricky returns to the NFL," Now that is exactly what you said, but when you read that comment by itself that is not at all what you meant is it?

My comment for you and all the other ignorant "ricky hater", "AJ SUCKS", and detractors is SHUT THE HELL UP and quit calling yourselves Dolphin fans. Be happy about what is good for the team and be supportive instead of feeding on controversy the press embelishes.:yell: :yell:

I feel much better now...:D

Mod Note: Actually, you shouldn't. You have a day off for the personal derogatory comment, and for telling others here to shut up.
