Ricky or Ronnie??

I'm talking when they joined the team, who made you more excited.

Tough call. I was excited when we got Ricky, but we still had Wanny and Fiedler, so I wasnt optimistic about our chances for a SB.

So, just from a player to player comparison, I was probably a little more excited about Ricky. But I am far more excited and optimistic about the Phins future with Brown than I was with Ricky, simply because the evil of Wanny/Fiedler has finally been dispelled.

IF Ricky does return and it causes the Phins to have to release any of our RBs to make room on the roster, then I will be the first to say that its a huge mistake. The bottom tier of our RBs arent all that good (Minor, Morris, etc) but at least they are there when we need them. Given his history and reluctance to admit any wrong, I sincerely doubt that Ricky will make it through a full season without getting suspended or deciding to quit again.

Losing either Minor or Morris or Gordon in order to make room for Ricky is a small sacrifice. If he did lose him mind again we could rather easily find a serviceable back. If we drop that far down in our depth chart again - it will most likely be a lost season anyhow.

Nick Saban is really wise and this draft was the firm.
Just said Couch Saban knows our Achilles' heel was RB, but he also knows that Ricky Williams might be back.
He is smart enough to give a high value on RW, but he won't go one horse if RB is that weak on his team. Saban wants first a powerfull flexible and impresive deffense with young blood.
But he also knows how expensive is a 2nd draft pick and wanted the deadliest weapon available.
He knows WR Edwards' capabilities, but he knows that a WR can be a good weapon only is a great QB is on his side, and Saban still have serious doubts about his QBs that may need a very hard work to improve or a year to trade for someone else, just remember he wasn't excited about the QB on this draft. It's a sure thing he'll improve AJ Feeley this season and Nick was many goals on his QB, but our coach will give him more than just a little homework to do, we'll make him sweat in order to became his starter.
So he drafted the deadliest weapon available and as Saban said, "'versatility,' I think, is very important". Ronnie will open the holes for RW if he comes back, and at same time he'll block, he'll be a TE, a RB, a FB and a WR all in one man, that 'versatility' will guide us lightyears from DW's offense.
For those who think RW is a bad person a traitor or something worse, this guy just make a pair of failures A) To be in drugs and B) Being scared (of failing drug tests and game load itself) take his way out in the worse moment.
In my opinion RW will say no drugs under Saban because Nick Saban the leader (not the couch nor the boss), will help him. While this happens RW will upgrade his skils, be strong in a balanced scheme and become the wildest RB of all times.
So answering the question Ronnie or Ricky? Both.
