Ricky Williams interview

Seems like you get it as well. Tolerance & individuality has been lost and we seem to blindly follow what we are told without thinking or researching for ourselves.

Wow this thread is getting deep.
it started with religion and materialism. if you choose to start a thread about ricky and the words he says and if you understand why he says them, then the subsequent posts apply perfectly unless if we wanna keep it on an intelligence level of G rating. or again does my opinion not count. god bless america.

I totally agree with you, Ricky is far from stupid as other posters have said, he is very honest and blunt, which is rare. he speaks the way he feels at that moment and doesn't make it media friendly or bs just to please the public.
amen friend. notice that i read threads the same way i read the paper. back to front.

It gets hard to keep track sometimes. But I agree. I just really appreciate Ricky's point of view and I get annoyed to see how the media warped our perception of him. I feel he is more at peace with himself and will be a leader on that team. It's a matter of being openminded, and trying to first understand why the person feels and thinks that way before attacking him for it. I am very happy that the suporters now outweigh the others but its sad cause they are mostly supporters because he is doing well on the field. That is dissapointing

so again what does the govt. in florida have to do with this?
on the surface it has to do with mindsets of people and lets face it: its the most immediate human function in motion even before we wake up in the morning. so ricky was with a mindset where he was closed in and had to get away. to make it short he says what he says because he has traveled a road so few even dare to face in the mirror which leads inward and so we look away to what is external to solve the problems within. we're fooled basically. its about self honesty or else justification of everything gone wrong with us by blaming all around us instead of the only thing we have control of which is our very own freedom to choose (a way). and this choice is continual. but im outta here. good day and be happy. grrrr

I can agree with that. Very solid point.

You're right. But most of Ricky Speak comes from his eastern philosophy. That's why his comments are so vague. It's like listening to a zen buddhist.
Or similiar to confuscious.

By the way:
"Confuscious say man with hand in pocket has d*** in hand"

So my point being, religion was not brought up until he brought it up. Thanks!

i think ricky is doing well for himself by speaking whatever he believes if that what it takes to shield himself from the overwhelming pressure of expectations considering his role in the landscape of media attention. but i also sense from him a slight only slight hesitance a if he is still worried about what people will think and i also sense his struggle. itll take time and i want him to play which will take away some of the need to talk to media about stuff that is always challenged. maybe he will satisfy fans and media by talking strictly football. its sad but its how it is even here at finheaven.

as a person i care about him and would like for him to find whatver way he can to a place called contentment. hell. its what we all, as people want.

the subject is ricky and everything ricky is about is just that. he left over a certain reason. he didnt pack up and visit disneyland.

youre reflecting your fear.

Come on now. I see where you're coming from re: Ricky. I guess my comment was only amusing to me, oh well. Reflecting fear is a huge and laughable leap. Try not to take yourself so seriously next time.

this thread had the words hinduism and i dont know some other pharasaical titles which represent sects of people under a religion. but to hell with religion. i think its great that everyone gets a stir out of what ricky says. even if they dotn understand. wouldnt it be a trip if we actually knew the hidden thoughts of rock-heads like jason taylor or zach thomas.

now kevin carter is an interesting guy. we should hear more of what he has to say.

we have a great team.

what makes them rock heads? because they don't preach of finding themselves? because they are satisfied with where they are at? not everyone one has problems erroneous...

when he talks like: " goals? why goals?" then im like: huh?
but i understand what he's trying to accomplish internally.
it would be in his best interest if:
a) he would quit football and make money by sewing sweaters for llamas somewhere in a third world country

b) stay away from media and keep his mouth shut.

as much as he's going on about denial of self he's quick to have his words in print.

any further analysis would lead to a forecast of another breakdown.

he should say as little as possible and then go away.

in any case, the beard should stay.

It sounds like Ricky wasn't rambling ... the interviewers were. But he did well yet again. He's showing a consistent attitude.

EVERYONE has problems. be honest with yourself. oh, that right. you were talking about the rockheads. ive heard them speak and yes, i tolerate them just fine. man, i cant wish until they play real games. thats all they are worth, to me. on the other hand, theyre people but people i wouldnt hang out with. ::whistles:: i would be bored and theyd be annoyed.
