You're doing it again!
I said the President has shown over time, decades in fact his alcohol addiction is no longer an issue. Are you going to imply it still is, or was in the past 10 years or so?
And more to the point to compare Wicky and what he is going through to what the President went through is laughable. You should really re-think that type of logic. It is flawed to say the least. The expression comparing apples to oranges does not even do that type logic justice.
Wicky is not a trust worthy sort, he never has been, period. This is like Wicky's 5th 2nd chance. This guy has failed drug tests 3 times, really 4 times. Are any of you actually implying we should make him the corner stone of this franchise? If not WTH are you all going on about?
Honestly fill me in here!
Ok then, was the President untrustworthy the first year after he gave up alcohol? So how long did it take for those around him to regain their trust in him that he was no longer chemically dependent? He quit after getting a DUI correct? Do you think this was the first time he had ever driven drunk? Id think not.. Id vouch to say he had driven while intoxicated more than 4 times in his lifetime as an alcoholic.. But the first time caught.. It was a turning point I suppose.. and he looked to God and Jesus, and found a way out of it.. I commend that..
Now I see a man doing a very similar thing, with a different philosophy.. Anything that can help one overcome their insecurities and cructhes is a worthy endeavor and practice.. If Ricky is finally finding this within Eastern Philosophy, I commend that as well..
And I dont see how its apples to oranges...
GW: alcohol - physically and mentally addictive
RW: marijuana - mentally addictive, mildly physically addictivie (not much data to support physical addiciton claim)
Point of Failure/Desperation:
GW: DUI
RW: Failing Drug Test, Quitting Football (I tend to believe the quitting football aspect was heavily influenced by SAD, you disagree, but that is irrelevent to this topic)
Turning Point
GW: Rekindled relationship with God/Jesus
RW: Eastern Philosophy
Aftermath
GW: Presumably clean after several years
RW: Presumably clean after several months..
So, how exactly are these two situations so vastly different? Why would Ricky be more prone to revert to his old ways? Both have compulsive psychologies... Yet GW remained clean, so why can't Ricky?
