Ricky Williams speaks on bullygate and makes so much sense...

We are talking about football players who's jobs are to physically bully the opposing teams for a living. What is Martin going to do when he is getting bullied by the opposing defensive line? Next time he gets picked up and thrown down like a rag doll and gives up a sack, or if the defensive end is talking crap to intimidate Martin, instead of getting mad and fighting back you want him to show that defensive end some compassion and hope they can have a dialogue to let the healing begin???

This hazing is a way to get him to man up and develop that way to deal with the adversity that comes when the other team kicks your ass or is trying to get into your head. I dont think compassion is going to be the ticket.

I think you missed my point...

Obviously if a bully is physically attacking you to the point that you are in danger of serious bodily harm, self defense is warranted. Defend, never attack. That's the difference to me.
A solution like "Oh, I'm going to show that bully. I'm going to jump him after school" is not a sound strategy. That serves only to escalate the situation, and solve nothing.

Who said anything about debate??

Respect is earned, not given.

Wtf is this crap...The only reason he was laughing when he was called Ricky Wierdo is because he was HIGH....I can't believe anyone is listening to this Guy...When he walks out on his team that gives him zero right to chime in...I have zero respect for him.

Like i said from the beginning i feel like Martin was very frustrated not with Incognito, but his entire situation and in a sensative moment. The joke in the cafeteria lite his frustrations and he walked out. When he got home after calming down or talking to his agent, he and his agent was like what the F*** did I just do. Came up with the idea of going to therapy and claim bullying in hopes to save some of his contract. The agent told him not to talk to the dolphins, that do we have anything that could hold water that he was bullied and wallla he had voice mail message and some harsh texts. Let make friends with the media and let them speak for him and put the dolphins in a corner. Knowing that he will never return to the dolphins, he is milking as much money as he can from the fins.

I dont think ricky is speaking in context of the facts.

Alot of people were talkin on the radio today that clearly were speaking from not understanding Martin is not a rookie, aside from whether you think Hazing is ok or not.

Ricky is speaking as his normal soothsayer attitude as if to say football society is at fault here.

I just would really like to hear ultimately what more if any that martin has that is unkown because Shefter sure does make it sound like there is.

One could argue that Martin is figuratively doing just that.

I agree, and that's why I think Martin has handled this situation horribly...

Ricky would be the coolest guy to get some drinks with. I'd bet the conversations would go all over the place.

What other hazing happened to Martin when he wasnt a rookie?

I have a feeling Philbin is THE worst head coach to handle a situation like this.

Ricky is one of my favorite all time dolphins. When he quit I wash crushed and angry. However, it got wannstupid fired as the season went to hell - so in hindsight it was the best thing he ever did for the team - lol! I hope the guys rally around this and go on a run here.
