RIP Mercury Morris

I just heard of his passing. I never saw him when he played but soo many highlights and reruns. Thank you for all the great .memories, RIP MM!

He was a GIANT not only in Miami Dolphin football, but in the NFL (league), and in our community.

RIP Morris.
We all will miss you...

I'm too young to have seen him play. My memories of him are trash talking teams that almost go undefeated.😂

I would ask who's gonna take over that duty from him, but adding a 17th game to the regular season makes going undefeated almost impossible. If they add an 18th game to the regular season, you can just about say the '72 Dolphins will stand alone forever. I miss worrying about another team going undefeated. Another thing that makes an undefeated season all but impossible, at least right now, is injury paranoia with QBs. If a team is unbeaten late in the season, there's no way in hell their gonna play their starting QB just to try to go undefeated.

I'll ask anyway. Who's gonna trash talk teams that almost go undefeated now?

I mean who from the '72 Dolphins?

Thanks for the memories, Mercury! You were the heart of the fins! We miss what you and that team brought to the field week in and week out, mostly wins because of amazing effort. Long gone are those days. GO 🐬🐬

That's shocking that only 22 of the '72 Dolphins have died. Especially since they're football players. Was a roster 53 men back then? That means at least 31 guys who are still alive that are at least 74 years old.🤯 You gotta figure at least a couple of them are gonna make it to 100.🙂
