RIP Pat Devlin should start thread

You want more comedy? How about letting Tannehill and Devlin have a true competition, and then let the one who gives us the best chance to win play. Then if it's Devlin, trade Tannehill while the price is still hot for a 1st or 2nd round pick, and then cut Ireland while your at it. I hope Tannehill turns out better than Henne, as I sure hate to waste another few years in vain.

Dude, Devlin is not on Tannehill's level....don't get confused by his play against players that will be looking for work in a couple weeks.

Tannehill is the one we have been waiting for....bank on it.

Or vice versa. I think I will keep my money in the shoe box for now. I'm totally ok with Devlin as #2 for now.

The answer at quaterback is PAT DEVLIN. He was clearly the best quaterback last night. He is the real deal: he has the poise, confidence, accuracy, intellegence, and is still improving, andl has "IT," he has the magic. In the last two games, he drove the team down to the goal line on his last 3 possessions (and he has only played 4 possessions this preseason). He moves the ball easily with completion after completion, ball perfectly placed, and clearly gives us the best chance to win.

I know all you media bandwagon followers aren't going to see it, but Philpin, you need to keep watching, this guy runs your offense perfectly, did you mean it when you said "the guy who gives us the best chance to win will play?"
No way.
You have to see beyond the stats, there are several plays where starters should have sacked/intercepted Pat, but he's proving he's adapting well into the system and several of his weakness could be worked in the mean time, which is compatible with 3rd string duties.
But now that Ryan Tannehill has been named starter for the season and every role has been cleared, translating in great news for Pat Devlin, who will serve as 3rd QB behind Tannehill and Matt Moore.
I'm sorry about David Garrard, who might have lost all chances of making the team with Dolphins after hurting his knee at non-football activities.
With rookie making a fine exhibition and 2nd year Pat Devlin looking close to Moore, coaching staff is questioning other spot of the roster, which could shake up thing in the short term.
I have defended the idea that the selection of a receiver set was related to the passer, so now that the QB spot looks clearer, I assume coaching staff could start quitting on some projects in favor of others. It could be a last call for guys who worked better with Moore or Garrard, instead of those who seem to be better fitted for Tannehill's style.

Either you're Devlin's agent's assistant or you've had one bong hit too many.

Devlin should start. Looking for a job. Hell he can go to Canada and have John Beck back him up

To be fair to the guy though, I'm sure there are plenty of Beck, Henne, etc (x10) threads that can be bumped.

This is great - and yes this is Mrs Devlin who wishes out loud for an injury to Tannehill so Pat could show what he's made of. Joined FH the day we signed Devlin as a UFA... coincidentally of course.
