Robert Hunt is our best offensive lineman

The argument isn't even close when comparing him snap by snap to his nearby neighbors. Robert Hunt is so versatile that you can probably line him up anywhere on the line. Last season he ranked top 7 in his position in the last 9-10 games of the season as a Rookie. He started a bit slow, but progressive did get better in his position. Not that I am trying to take anything away from the other Rookies that started, but Robert Hunt has shown a lot of maturity coming in this league. For anyone in here that said he didn't have a good game obviously you didn't see the game. I have broken down a few of the snaps in the game in slow motion, and would be happy to break down the rest of them if anyone needs me to. Just in case someone needs to know who he is look at the position he plays, and his jersey number.

He LOVES putting guys on the ground. We were more effective running to the right side and I think he's a big reason why...

Now we just need to get AJ in the weight room....

I'm a big fan of Robert hunt and he can be special if he is able to stay the course, but I also see a lot of potential Eich as well, as an offensive line coach unfortunately my focus always goes back to the line, so I tend to analyze them and then go back and analyze them even more. I just wish I was more computer or technology-savvy all I know to use with football is hudl.
Just curious. What are your thoughts on Deiter? Seems he's getting a lot of praise at center.

I'm excited about him as well, if my memory serves me right he played started over 20 games at left guard at Wisconsin and also played about 15 games at left tackle and another 15 at Center. I haven't seen many people point out the multiple positions that he played in college at a quality School in the Big Ten that produces quite a bit offensive line talent. If he truly puts it together at center, with as many quality starts that he has had at other positions that means he's very familiar with what everybody's responsibility on the line are. That can play such a huge factor for continued growth on the offensive line if he could be voice if that unit.
Edit- I had to look it up to make sure that I didn't seem like I was talking out my ass from my hazy memory. He started 24 games at left guard, 14 games at left tackle, and 16 games at Center for Wisconsin.

Thanks. Love yo hear input from someone with offensive line experience. It's hard to concentrate on individual offensive line play sometimes. You can certainly see when a player is mauling a defensive player in the run game. Assignment sound and all the nuance of the position is difficult to judge, unless you know what you are looking for.

Do you see the reports on Jackson as troubling, overplayed? Thoughts on him?

Jackson in comparison to the other 1st rounders, he's way to young for me to be worried about. I don't think the covid exception should just be exclusive to quarterbacks. And considering he was on ir with a foot injury for a 325lb man and he still played 13 games, and not even mentioning the bone marrow transplant , I'll take my chances.
  • New York Giants OT Andrew Thomas: 575 snap opportunities in pass protection, 10 sacks allowed, 57 total pressures, 94.2 efficiency grade
  • Cleveland Browns OT Jedrick Willis Jr.: 481 snap opportunities in pass protection, 4 sacks allowed, 18 total pressures, 97.7 efficiency grade
  • New York Jets OT Mekhi Becton: 387 snap opportunities in pass protection, 7 sacks allowed, 23 total pressures, 96.1 efficiency grade
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers OT Tristan Wirfs: 651 snap opportunities in pass protection, 1 sack allowed, 22 total pressures, 98.2 efficiency grade
  • Miami Dolphins OT Austin Jackson: 506 snap opportunities in pass protection, 4 sacks allowed, 38 total pressures, 95.8 efficiency grade

No question. I absolutely love having Hunt and Kindley as our guards. For any potential weaknesses, there’s just nothing like having a pair of mauling road graders at that position.
