I know they have both been on the team for a few years now with no real production(aside from Moore's 60 yard TD against the Raiders) but what should we expect from them this year? IMO i think both have a solid chance of getting on the field and making plays. Wallace could become a red zone target(6'4" 225) and Moore does have run after the catch ability which is perfect for the WCO. So what are your thoughts?

Both need to step up in a huge way or gtfo

You figure we keep 5-6 receivers on the active rosters. Hartline and Bess are certain to make the team. I think Gates is as well. So that leaves 2-3 open spots. I would think both Wallace and Moore have really good shots, with maybe one more receiver making the active roster. That battle should be between the two late round draft picks and Fuller. The losers of those battles likely end up on the practice squad.

My expectations is one or both will be released...assumed 5 roster spots available for WRs:

Hartline, Bess sure things. Three spots for Gates, Cunningham, Matthews, Pruitt, Fuller, Wallace, Moore.

Ireland will want to keep Gates to justify draft pick last year. New coaches/Ireland will choose Cunningham/Matthews over Wallace/Moore if close competition since drafted this year. Fuller likely headed to PS. Perhaps one of the three of Pruitt/Wallace/Moore are able to stick around with a good showing in preseason.

I agree. Unless Pruitt/Wallace/Moore suddenly show us something for the years they have been on the practice squad, they are all three gone We have a whole new coaching staff with their own ideas, players and timelines. They have used up their practice squad time.

It's make it or break it time for both. The practice squad won't be an option so they need to show they belong. imo, Matthews and Cunningham are safer at this point

They are really like every other receiver on the roster bar Bess and Hartline, they are unknowns. They have the advantage of a few years in the NFL and the disadvantage of not being Philbin guys if there is such a thing. I think they have as much chance as Cunningham, Fuller and Matthews of making the roster.

I don't see how they have the same chance of making the roster. Philbin has nothing invested in these guys, while he does have 2 draft picks invested in the new rookies. If this is a rebuilding year, then it doesn't matter, what have wallace, moore, and pruitt shown in three years that we should cut or stash our rookies? if all things were equal, I keep the rookies.

I agree with you, but I can't imagine Wallace, Moore and Pruitt are going to play at the same level as the rookies, if they do cut them. I do expect that between the three of them at least one and maybe two will play at a much higher level than any rookie in training.

Guys, using 6th and 7th round picks on WRs is hardly investing in them. It's having camp bodies to see what you can pick from. I think that Matthews and Cunningham are absolutely on the roster this year.

MOORE, WALLACE and PRUITT all have more talent than ANY of the new WRs i/m/o. They all have good size, and all are fast. MOORE has run 4'46-4.47 "forty" times, and has quickness as well. WALLACE has run 4.43-4.44, and PRUITT has consistently ran in the 4.41 range. IF, as I suspect, they were handicapped by B MARSHALL's being here, that's over now. We'll have to wait and see, but I can see any two of them making the team, barring injuries. I don't really care for CUNNINGHAM at all. I don't think that he'll make it in the NFL: he had better be a better version of O GADSEN, because he's just too slow. And at this level, everybody was solid-or-better in college. As to FULLER, i/m/o, he's living on borrowed time. If he can't catch/hold onto the football, he's useless.
