Roberto Wallace/Marlon Moore Expectations

yeah i've read this thread. and i'm one of the guys who's doubtful they even make the roster. They haven't shown me **** since they got on the toilet. I'm tired of the blanket statements from both sides of the fence. And for the record I haven't seen ANYONE say anyone on this roster is going to "replace" OR "surpass" marshall in the WCO. Link or it didn't happen.

For clairification just in case YOU didn't read this thread
.
For the record, Im still waiting for you to link to where I said that or even suggested it.

For clairification just in case YOU didn't read my post... just read what you've already quoted me as saying within the last half hour.

Sigh.

Welcome to the offseason, where every FO move is the correct move
obvious blanket statment is obvious. Including all of finheaven in your thinly veiled blanket homer statment. Thanks!
and every young roster stash
moore, wallace, and pruitt are the epitome of young roster stashes,
is set to realize his potential.
potential, ok here is the assumption. for me, potential would mean legit starter, at least 500 yards and 3-4 touchdowns for a #3.

Now for further clairification I said... show ME where a member made those statements not where YOU made those statements. I want to know why your're making blanket statements about the membership at large as it pertains to this thread.

because i'm certainly critical of them making the team, and I dont' think they are going to reach any potential, and I don't like every move this staff has made since the offseason began, Thus your blanket homer statement is insulting.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must be joking, beacuse the idea that any of those statements indicate that Moore or Wallace will "surpass" or "replace" an 80-100 catch pro bowl WR is preposterous. You are reaching badly.

Heck, those 2 fools would would be extremely successful in my eyes if they COMBINED to put up a Marshall season(in a Tony Sparano offense no less).

I think i'm in the twilight zone here. Do you even understand the words i'm typing? I never said you said anything about these guys replacing marshall. I want to know which member in this thread did say something like that? NO ONE that's who. I said i'm tired of the blanket statments, and YOU sir did make a blanket statement, i've even quoted it, and pointed it out to you, have made an unfounded blanket statement, and i'm calling you out on it.

someone needs to emerge as a consistant threat at some point. We're due for some luck as far as finding a star player at WR. we have a lot of guys who have shown potential, and maybe this system helps one of them to "number 1 status." It's just so hard to say that none of these guys can pull it off, esp when you consider the guys who have coached the team the last few years. Did any players they coached actually progress? I can think of a few rookies who flashed and then... nothing.

Thats the problem.. We have had so many people come through who have, "potential".. When I think of that word I think of Chambers everytime. Every year we have a ton of potential guys that never seem to pan out. It seems to me the one with the most potential, who can benefit the most in this offense is Hartline. If he succeeds he can certainly be a number one threat. Speed isnt there but he is a deep threat because of his route running and sure fire hands. IMO the next guy with the highest potential is Cunningham.. He is raw but IMO could have the highest upside of any of the young rookie WR's. I don't put Wallace, Moore, or Pruitt anywhere on the potential list.. Their time has come and gone and we have seen everything we will from them, IMO. If Hartline doesnt take a huge step forward in this offense, I fear we have seen everything we will from him, which still isnt too bad, aside from the lack of TD's.. But hey, we shouldnt see anymore worthless Hartline fades to the corner of the endzone like we did so many times last year!

No, Im in the twilight zone, because I continue to explain over and over and ****ing over, that i never once said anyone said anything about these guys replacing or surpassing Marshall.

You took my words and spun them into something completely ridiculous. I hate to break it to you, but not everyones potential is the same. Not every "young roster stash" has Marshall-type potential. I think this is where the disconnect is coming from, you are taking it that way. I've just explained that if either of these 2 combine to produce like marshall, that would likely be them reaching THEIR potential. their potential is not Marshalls, therefore they will not replace or surpass Marshall. Im not sure how you took that to mean that I said their potential equals Brandon Marshall, but whatever.

first thank you for a well thought out post. second, I'm in agreement that if a WR hasn't shown anything in his first 3 seasons, he probably isn't ever going to reach potential. Heck at that point I doubt there is any potential to reach. Heck I have to wonder if that holds true for every position on the field.

I'm absolutely at a loss here. alright lets try a different approach. show me where I accused you of saying that one of these guys would replace/surpass marshall. Then once you've found that. show me where I accused you of making blanket statements about finheaven at large.

This post is preposterous.

The reason Marshall's stats will not replaced by any one player is because this coach isn't running that kind of offense. None of the Dolphins WR's in 2012 are going to come anywhere near 147 targets.

The Marshall experiment was a dismal failure. He isn't an elite WR and he never was. He has never been rated any higher than the twenties.

Buy into the Philbin plan and you will be happier. Drink the Philbin cool-aid and believe that spreading the ball around to whoever is open instead of prioritizing one target, and you will be glad you did.

I love this new offense that makes diva WR's obsolete.

We don't need any of those over-hyped, over-paid jackasses demanding the ball. By the end of next year Philbin will have his core of WR's who can get open and catch the ball, and this offense will rock.

Ok, this is helpful. See bolded below, should be crystal clear:

I don't see a lot of people saying... Holy gee whittikers!!! Wallace/moore/rookie is going to totally be better than marshall! who the said anything even remotely close to that? Not one person has said anything about any of our guys putting up numbers better than marshall. All they have said is that some of these guys deserve to have more oppurtunities to show what they have because marshall soaked up a lot of the available targets.

Below is the most recent regarding the blank statement:

OMG Another "we'll succeed because of the WCO" posts. For the record, The Cleveland Browns run the WCO. You need talent.

what should be crystal clear? that you don't have a sarcasim detector?

the first statement, is full of sarcasim and no where does it say "SuperMarksBros thinks that wallace or moore or pruitt is going to equal or tie the numbers marshall puts up." It does however ask you to provide a link or proof of anyone here at finheaven who did say such a thing. I then clarify that NO ONE has made any such claim.

In fact the only way you could possibly think I accused you of making a statment like that is if your name is "No One" in real life.

This makes me think of Vontae.. He is going into his 4th season and we are still waiting for him to make the jump to elite. There are people on this board who have and still do label him an elite QB but IMO they'd be wrong. The past two seasons we have been waiting for him to take the next step to the elite level, but he hasnt... Is he good, definitely, is he above average, Id say so, but is he elite, definitely not. He still has that weekly brain fart where he gives up one 50 yard pass play. For those who disagree, simply pick any elite CB and ask yourself if you would rather have Davis over that CB.. Id certainly take Revis over Vontae.
