Well yea, it is frustrating explaining to someone common sense football. Like in the drive you cited as an example - When it was 2nd down and 18....you pass the ball. Then it was 3rd down and 4.....you pass the ball again unless you get a great look. And when we passed 3 times in a row on 1 drive in the 3rd quarter, you call it abandoning the run. I call it playing situational football. The very next drive we started off with back to back runs.....because the situation called for it. We didn't abandon the run until we were down by 2 scores with 4 minutes left.

It was 2nd and 18 because we lost 8 yards with a pass on first down... And the drive you say we started with two runs, they accounted for 30 yards, what do they do next, pass pass punt... Come on man you cant tell me passing the ball on 75% of your plays is a good strategy when your averaging more yards per run then per pass attempts... Really???

Ok so now you want to talk about running just on first downs....well we had 6 first downs in the 3rd quarter. We passed on 3 of them. We ran on 3 of them. That's sounds pretty balanced to me, and thats hardly abandoning the run. You guys REALLY just need to watch that 3rd quarter again.

Up to that point in the game, we didn't pass the ball even close to 75% of the time. Like I just said in the post above, watch the dame game and stop pulling BS stats out of your ass.

Here's the bottom line: If we ran the ball 2 or 3 times in the 3rd quarter instead of passing, it wouldn't have changed the game.

Here's the bottom line: If we ran the ball 2 or 3 times in the 3rd quarter instead of passing, it wouldn't have changed the game.

Miller was running open all game, hell he had runs of 17-20-24 yards... its not like we were completing passes down the field.

I already said I agreed that it wasn't necessarily 'abanding the run' 3or 4 posts ago and was just casually pointing out that there were a handful of instances where I thought we should have ran the ball. I thought we were having a discussion but you seemingly read portions of people's comments just to find something you can call them out on. I get it now, though...you pass on 2nd and long.
