I think Davey will be the #2 guy in NE this year....BB is preparing for him to hit RFA list next year. They will let him go for the right price. Flutie is nothing more than a little insurance..and meaning no harm to anyone, I kinda hope they have to resort to using him...(nah, not really, but I had to put it in..)
 
anyone who doesn't like davey hasn't watched him play more than once. he is a leader that competes and is great at come from behind. he can really throw the ball and he has great pocket awareness. very hard to tackle the guys because he is huge. i would love if he became a dolphin. i think he would definetly compete for the starting job. if he wasn't stuck behind brady he would be lighting it up in the nfl. most underated player, not most overated.
 
Belichick's going to hold onto Davey. Brady has his contract issues and Flutie is a 3rd stringer much like Frerotte.
 
i used to live in rhode island, so im very familair with the bost aports talk scene...hears what the deal with davey used to be anyways. he did well in europe and during the preseason, so all the people who dont know anything about football were chiming in about how he needed to play ( even over brady ) and how he was the future. the knocks on davey were as follows. doesnt make good decisions, is quick to tuck it and run, slow to pickup the offense. slow release. and basically the major issue holding him back, is he is as dumb as a stump. thats what i can tell u the buzz around him was back home
 
I could see Bellichick calculating that Saban would pick him up because of the LSU connection and dump the guy on him to see if he swallows the bait.
 
I wouldn't mind if we got Rohan Davey, he's got one HELLUVA arm. I think he'd pose a threat to Feeley and Frerotte and could actually end up winning the starting job. Does anyone know more about him? Anyone honestly think if he came to Miami, he'd beat out AJ and Gus for the starting job?

I too am a Cane fan and agree with your opinion of Berlin. What I think people fail to realize is he is the best we have unless Gus can continue the kind of play he had in the short stent he had in Minny. We can't get rid of Berlin until we decide if Gus can handle it.

If he's not good enough to be New England's #2 guy, then what the L do we want him for? Another Sage. We need a quality starter, if we can't get one through the draft then we have to spend the money in free agency to get one.
