Ron Brown will not be starter this year

Brown does not have to go through holes quickly as there are no holes with our O-line.
Let's see how they all do once it's gametime

I think Saban will give him the starting job on opening day. When I say starting, I use it loosely. It will most likely be a rotation at RB with Brown / Morris until Ricky returns, and then the Brown / Williams combo should be put into effect....

If Brown can't take the initial contact, and looks timid for any reason, Morris will take over the starting position IMO. He's the only RB we have who has actually proven he can run behind a makeshift OL.....

PHINZ RULE!!!

I believe Blitz is right. Brown cannot handle the load right now cus he is out of game shape on a full scale. He also needs to pick up the whole package of the offense yet. They will bring him along week to week and add some speical stuff just for him. what I expect out of Ronnie Brown is that he will be a FB, just as they said they would, yet he will be recieveing the ball as much if not more than running with the rock.

what the crap are some of you people talking about??? RB is one of the easiest positions to come in and make an immediate impact, and R.B. is/was the #2 overall draft pick. If he doesn't come in and recieve a hug bulk of the carries from day 1, then there is seriously something wrong

Who are "they"? Who ever said Ronnie Brown was going to be a fullback? I'm
sure we didn't just lay down twenty-some-odd million for a fullback.

Ron "Sweet Feet" Brown will be used as a 3rd down back and as a slot reciever with Ricky (after suspension) being the number one guy. "Sweet Feet" has trouble finding holes and making instinctive decisions that Ricky does, but looks great receiving and in the open field. Until he becomes more accustomed to the faster NFL game, he will not be our #1 back.

I think he will win the starting job from Ricky.

Wow ... message board response as beat poetry. I like it! :dj: :ri:

Ronnie Brown will be the starting running back for the Dolphins this year unless he gets injured. He has made great strides in picking up the offense, according to what I have read and heard that Ricky Williams has said. Second over all pick plays no matter what, unless they are QB's. With the money he getting he will be on the field.

Well there is a the huge flaw in your statement. I like Ricky, but nobody knows what the hell he is saying.

If Brown ends up being a 3rd down back, he will be the biggest bust in Dolphins history. Yes, bigger than Avery, Milner, Kumerow, YGreen, etc. Those guys were taken in the back end of the first round. If you look at the NFL trade value chart, the no. 2 pick is worth about 4 no. 24 picks. Excluding guys who got injured, can you think of a top 5 pick RB in history who was unable to crack the starting lineup?

Dont worry he's not gonna be the 3rd down back
