1) I never said I wanted David Boston as a TE, where are you getting that from?

BUT Ricky will be the starter (once he returns) and ronnie will split the time with Ricky. Keep in mind that by the end of the season RIcky will have about 25% more carries then Ronnie. and you will see ronnie with plenty of catches too. Lets face it Ricky is the better runner of the 2 for the pro game. I'm not saying that ronnie is not a good back. Just Ricky is better RIGHT NOW. Ronnie is a complete RB. He can run with power, block and catch more than screen passes. You managed to downplay Ronnies abilities without seeing him play yet. I assume that you have never seen him play because of the statements that you are making regarding Ronnie's abilities. Ronnie brings a lot more than what a 30sec highlight can show.

Again I asked when was the last time Auburn produced a top tier running back that was a bust???:rolleyes:

Antwain Smith (SB Ring)

John Avery (yeah we drafted him - where is he now)

Every single 1 of these Guys where GREAT college backs. All had great Physical tools. It does not add up to the NFL game

The point is that most of those guys were just busts. It wasn't that they needed more time to get used to the NFL game, they apparently never got used to it. Hopefully, Ronnie won't fall into that category. A few of the others had injury problems their rookie years (Carter, Hearst, Enis).

Most of the great NFL backs -- which we all hope Ronnie will be -- were great from their rookie years. Those that weren't great as rookies were at least very good (800+ yards). Even the huge busts (who were not injured their rookie years) led their teams in rushing, e.g., Blair Thomas, Lawrence Phillips.

I watched Ronnie play.
I did not say that he was not a good or great college back for that matter.
All I was trying to get across was the fact that he has yet to carry 1 time and we want to make him a pro bowler. See my post on 1 and 2 round backs that where Super backs in college. We all hope Ronnie will be a super NFL back but as for right now he is just a Lotto ticket. They all have the POTENTIAL to be the big winner.
 
Dont come in here and state facts that arent true. Its your opinion. He may do that, but for the first four games he will probably be the number one back and will probably split time with Ricky when Ricky comes back.
 
IMO I think ronnie will split carries all year with morris the first four games and if Morris can't do nothing it will be Ricky/Ronnie. WHo says Ricky has to play sure he is good but if Morris and ROnnie or just ronnie or just Morris is getting the job done we might not even really see Ricky this year.
 
A quote from a famous person, "From what impression is this supposed idea derived from?" Brown will be our featured back if he does well with Ricky out.
