Ronnie Brown Slow?

I liked Ronnie's spin move. If Ronnie had an OL that would not jump offsides and block for the running game, then Ronnie's hesitation will be less and less. If you got the ball and stared at dark blue jerseys. what would you do? I'de hesitate.... and then spin.

You apologists seem to think that we should "give the guy a break". Let me remind all of you that a tail back drafted NUMBER TWO overall is supposed to come "fully assembled" and ready to run. He either CAN run or he can't... a HB's intangible abilities (see: VISION) are inherent.
Please.

He also missed 3 weeks of camp.

Come on people I swear we play a great game minus some mental mistakes and people try to find someone to pick on. For one game I think rbrown played great he lowered his shoulders and got what he could. As the game went on he got better. Why do people compare him to Ricky. If Ricky wasnt a head case he would prob be a shue in for the HOF.

shouldnt have to remind e1 but i will....hes missed a hell of a lotta practice and prep time, and despite what most so called experts think....he physically is behind the curve. but he'll catch up...he is a great back.

I agree. Especially in a draft that saw his available compliment rush for 140+ yards today...

His counter part had the exact same day as Ronnie before he broke a long run against a blitz late in the game. Ronnie would have had the same run in that spot.

Carnell had about 62 yards on 22 carries before that run. Ronnie also picks up the blitz better and is a better receiver.

Don't worry, we chose the better back.

Ronnie is fine. His burst is fine. His vision is fine.

My gosh! It's so obvious that most of you have never played football before.

Miami's rushing struggles have a lot more to do with going against an 8 man front than it has to do with either Ronnie Brown or the OL at this point. Today, the Dolphins made the Broncos pay for stacking the line against the run.

Did anybody else get the impression that Ronnie Brown lacks the initial burst that Ricky has?

:shakeno: Just keep in mind that Ricky was ANYTHING but spectacular his first 2 seasons.

I knew it that

Someone was gonna bash Ronnie he did decent but he will get better.

Nah. I think he seemed hesitant at times, but it's his first game as a pro, so you can't really expect miracles.

Yes. I didn't see the game, but heard it on the radio. The announcers commented on his quick feet and speed. Plus whenever he ran, he sounded fast to me!!

No one seems to want to mention all the key blitz pick ups that Ronnie had, plus the excellent play he had to keep a drive a live in the game.

Of course he does. Ricky weighs 155lbs!

The only thing he lacks is Ricky's vision and decisiveness.

Ah, but lucky for us, Ronnie has shown to be a very humble and willing learner to pick up pointers from Ricky and anyone else willing to give it to him. As was said before, around mid-season (Or just a bit later) Ronnie will be a machine, and will be able to react better to most situations.

I think our O-Line did a really decent job for all the talk about how they weren't very good. And i am talking about the media.
