Do i still seriously see people on here doubting Ronnie Brown's talents?
Has the man not shown you that he can play, even behind a mediocre offensive line?

7 games played.
602 rushing yards
389 receiving yards
991 total in 7 GAMES

Weeks 3-6
741 total yards
185 yards per game
85 Carries-461 rushing yards-5.4 yards per rush attempt
26 catches-280 receiving yards-10.7 yards per catch (good for a running back)
0 FUMBLES

He may have torn his ACL but it was a fluke injury.

Heres hoping Mr. Brown comes back strong this season.

Are you seriously saying that someone that is injured year after year deserved to hold-out for 32 million and get broke every year? That is the better question.

I have never been one to say Ronnie is not good but I will be the first to say that Ronnie is not among the best. Maybe when he produces over a full season he will get more respect. 6 Games do not make a season.

Unfortunately some people say it's Brown's fault he gets injured. It's his fault he got his hand stuck in someones facemask. :err:

He got injured trying to play defense. Ronnie is a beast, he's the hardest guy to tackle IMO, he never goes down on first contact. Imagine what his stats wouldve looked like if Camoron actually used him the first couple games?

Sucks that he gets injured, but he only missed a few games his first year. And last year, yeah he got injured, I blame the QB! Ronnie Brown is a running back, not a Defensive or Linebacker!

Exactly. And how special was he in those 2 years? He held out and demanded frachise HB money and what has he done to show that? He is no franchise back and don't deserve the money he makes.

exactly he game ronnie 22 carries in two games, not nearly enough

Some people on this site will not believe until they have no other choice. When Ronnie was tearing it up last year, a lot of people on this board were backing off. Time, however, gives these people their opinions back and since they haven't seen him run in half a season, they conveniently forget what he did because they are looking for excuses to draft some one else.

it took TWO YEARS for him to do ANY of that.

a guy who was picked #2 overall and given almost 60 mill
to play should have done this from day one. and 22 mill of
that gueranteed!

when he does finally show up 2 years later, he gets hurt.

so the "why is everyone pickin' on ronnie" thing doesnt hold water.

to much money for a chain mover, if he can even do that again.

if we have a power house passing game that scores through the air at
will, fine. thats a good back.

but when you have the opportunity to land a guy like mcfadden who can
do EVERYTHING better than ronnie, score, run, catch , even throw, then
you have to do that, expecially if your incosnsistant rb is coming off a
major knee injury.

no one seems to realise that our offense is JUST AS ABISMAL as our defense,
but all anyone can dwell on is defense.

and all this defense wins this and that is hooey. if two teams have EQAUAL
defenses, then you have a tie. the one who SCORES THE MOST POINTS
wins the game!! offense wins. you have to SCORE POINTS to WIN.

and we can NOTa score points. and we are WEKER right now on O than
last year. we need players who can SCORE!!

a "franchise" qb or a BIG TIME rb is a great start to building a GREAT offense.

darren mcfadden would be a great center piece to start with.

and hey, if ronnie comes back, looks good, you have 2 rb's And trade bait
should we ever need it.

so there is more than enough reasons to not sit back and say ronnie is the
man WITHOUT question.

I agree with you. Ronnie was having a breakout year last year and I hate he was injured. He will be a good if not great back in this league. Our O-Line is going to improve and I hope we draft jake Long to make it better for the future. Good post!!!

Ronnie never quits. How many points were we down by when he was injured? Quite a few, and he still gave it his all when he couldve easily just let up. The injury his first year was probably due to lack of conditioning because of his holdout. The injury his second year was a fluke. I mean what are the odds of getting your hand caught in facemask??? His injury last season was because he was trying to make a tackle. He put his team before himself. I think Ronnie wil be just fine come training camp. Besides, theres nothing wrong with rotating him and Ricky during the game. Either one of them being fresh in the fourth quarter has to be quite frightening for the oposing defense.

Let's also not forgot that this will be the third different system he'll have to play in four seasons.

What is that? Fred Taylor's career stats. Look at games missed. Did Jax give up on him? Think they want to give him back to the draft? What contract he signed is irrelevant, take that up with the NFL and the Union. He's a top (dare I say five?) back was on pace for over 2000 yards including a crummy two games where he was not utilized.

Let's cut him.
