they just mentioned Ronnie signing and showed some video of him practicing. It was pretty quick, of course. They said " interesting Ricky Williams runs for 39 yards on 6 carries and Ronnie deciedes " I need to get into camp""

I think we all agree that Ricky is the better back, most talented anyway. Ronnie still is yet to prove anything, until he does, he is a rookie.

talent wise, who knows really... ronnie (if you go by 40s) is faster and bigger and better hands, but ricky has that vision... we will see, yes ricky is proven, but i thikn ronnie can be an even better back

That is the key... can be. He is not yet. At least until he proves it on the NFL level.

I think..if and let me repeat if....these two can both be productive at RB spot together...

Its gonna be a really...really fun season to watch this team.

I totally agree, i saw a HUGE improvement in the offensive line from one pre season game to the next so far. THey looked so much better saturday blocking, and even opened holes for the backs to hit.

Frerotte makes some smart plays, and i think will be the QB of the bunch that will lead the team. He threw some passes that were just dropped, but were nice pass plays.

Ricky stood out, obviously, didnt some one say he was out of football for a year, wouldnt have known it by watching.

Boston and Chambers, plus Mc Michael, WOW, i know im pumped, lets get it on!!!!

I doubt Wicky is capable of teaching anyone anything at this point.

the only bad part is... we now have to sit here and wait till the REAL season begins!!!

worse off I will be in Indy on Sept. 11th working so i will miss the opener!!!

And then you add the wrs/Tes to that mix, Come on Gus, take advantage of this. I hope he does, the line seems to be improving each week, so i just hope Gus does a decent job, becuase he will defintly have the talent around him. We're probably gonna have to probably find some qb next year, whether its brees, Rivers, rookie qb, but I hope Gus does well this year.

the video of him practicing was from the OTA days.

I'm not doubting Ronnie's talent, but he never had the kind of production Ricky did. Ricky was absolutely incredible in college and was dominate in the NFL as well. As you said, Ronnie has tools, but Ricky was something special. He has great vision and a feel for the game. If Ronnie can run close to the way RIcky did and add more versality with his receiving skills, I'll be very happy.

Check Ronnie's Credentials

Honestly my gut tells me Ronnie won't ever live up to his physical skills. He just doesn't see the game as the great backs do. I think "tool" wise he definitely should have been drafted before Caddy. But Caddy has those intangiables and reminds me of a cross between Emmit Smith and Warrick Dunn, with his vision. Ronnie just doesn't do it for me. Time will tell but Braylon Edwards may make sense in the long run. I think a hasty decision on Ricky's future won't be made soon and that he'll be here at least this season. Watching Ricky work with our line, he creates, Caddy created at Auburn, Ronnie never did that, he ran people over. In the NFL you don't run people over, ask Greg Jones.

For never doing that, he did a bunch of times in the highlights I saw them in. Unless the highlights just showed the zero times he made cuts and jukes.
