Definitely yes. Ricky said at his press conference Monday he told them in February he had made his decision.

That's saying he chose Ronnie because he knew for a fact that he could split time with Ricky.

it probably had a little something to do with it, but Ronnie was the best all-around back in the draft. Definitely would not take a player at #2 based plainly on the fact that there was sign of RW returning.

If there is one thing that I cannot stand, it's people who think they can imply and twist what people are saying, whether it be in verbal communication or in writing. Let alone when it comes from someone 9 years my younger.

I think even if Saban knew about Ricky coming back, it didn't affect his pick. Saban is smart enough not to trust a guy that has a history of being flaky (at best). Plus, he didn't know the what shape Ricky was in. Ricky may help for a couple years, but I am happy we are not entrusting him with too much.
