Ronnie's Spins

I am disturbed by his inability to see cut back lanes personally. This worries the crap out of me...

lol this was his 1st NFL start. I thought he played wonderfully for a rookie HB.

it would have had very similar stats to Cadillac had he not busted a 71yd td on the last play of the game....

personally I didn't like it and he won't either soon enough. This is not your mommies college football. I did LOVE how he attacked Chump and put him out. Sabans comments about putting opponents in the whirlpool come to mind. In the post game interviews McMike I think mentioned his jucking around too.

Agree.

What did you all think about all the spinning ronnie was doing? If he can get his game down and starts seeing the field better i think those could be effective and tough on the cb's and safties. anyone else feel me??

I think that is a sign of nervousness
as he becomes comfortable you will see less spins and more plowing over the defenders, watch.

Regardless Caddy looked better today. Dont get me wrong i think Ronnie Browns gonna be great. Him and Caddy both will. But Caddy deffinatley looked better today. He showed great power, moves and vision. Ronnie will be fine tho.

One thing i did like is Ronnie picked up blitzes much better. That catch was nice too.

yea his spin is sick. i do it all the time in MADDEN 06, and it leaves cats grasping....you know, hummers that come with spinning rims have extra torque...i wish he'd just hit the hole alil faster, and stop looking for "the big play"..also that reversing the field isht has to go, it may have been silly in college, but these cats in the nfl are too quick, and aware for that( well except for that sick one ricky had two years ago).

Ricky is obviously having an effect on Ronnie. That is totally a Ricky move and he's used it countless times to get out of the backfield when our porous OL lets defenders right through as he takes the handoff.

There's no problem with the spin move. Ronnie ran well today, he didn't have any real issues. He made plays, and he'll keep making plays.

A good sign in the 2nd half that of his 14 carries 6 were for 5 or more yards. I think he could break out against the Jets and get his 4.0 carry next week.
