Rookies of the year

either way its homerish:goof:, i think brown has a very reasonible shot at rookie of the year but for defense it most likely will not be a fin my friend, i think on defense it could be pollack, johnson, pac man or even merriman are all posibilities

You mean Pac-Man, if he can stay out of legal trouble. I think he really believes he's Little John. Whattt? lol.

Crowder has more natural talent than either Spragan or Moore. Saban is going to have the 3 or 4 best linebackers on the field starting. The only thing that will keep Crowder off the field is if he can't pick up the defensive schemes or if he sustains an injury that keeps him out

Yup you keep dreaming there. Even if that were true the SLB barely plays in most systems so how would he even have a shot at rookie of the year. Crowder just isn't in the mix for SLB.

Except that Crowder is a MLB and is currently slated as Zach's backup so far while the rest of the LB's are fighting for that SLB spot. I believe they see Crowder right now as helping to reduce Zach's workload (I think Zach's snaps will go down a fair bit this year) and probably figure into the mix in the 3-4. Spragan so far looks to have the inside shot at the SLB spot with Moore et al challenging.

That Arizona RB is a good choice. He doesn't really have much competition there.

Thank you....I was looking thru the thread to see if anyone realized that Crowder is a MLB. Even if he does end up as an OLB, he will be playing out of position and wont be anywhere close to being effective enough for ROTY.

Crowder played weaksisde linebacker in 2003 his freshaman year and got all sec honors. He can play all 3 positions. he won't be out of position at mlb, wlb, slb , rilb, lilb.

Offensive Rookie Of The Year: Cadillac Williams,RB Tampa Bay- Lightning strikes twice as Cadillac teams up with one of last year's top performers Michael Clayton. Cadillac delivers a highlight reel of explosive plays and big runs. Gruden utilizes Cadillac in the passing game as well and Caddy Williams runs away with offensive rookie honors.

Defensive Rookie Of The Year: Demarcus Ware,LB Dallas-Ware gets to rush the passer from the outside backer position in Parcells revamped D. He displays the athleticism and pass-rushing ability that had the Dallas war room absolutely thrilled when he was still on the draft board.

Cedric Benson will run for 1300-1400 yards + 12 TD's.

Erasmus James will get 10-11 sacks.
Benson won't get that many yards in that offense with no passing attack. If he gets 1,300-1,400 with 8 or more in the box, then he is truly a stud

ANtrell ROlle on D
Carnell Williams on O (as much as I wanna take Ronnie, I think it will take him a year to get used to carrying the load and playing 16 games in a year)

benson and antrel.

ced-ben is gna hav the best first year #s... and as a #1 CB, Rolle is gna get the chance to get picks. ROY is based a lot on stats.

I like Cedric Benson but I don't think he'll be rookie of the year, I think Thomas Jones will still get alot of carries and Benson won't be carrying the load, the same can be said for Ronnie except if he's strong the first 4 games while Ricky is suspended he'll open eyes, and Ricky won't be getting as many carries as I expect Jones to get.

Offensive Rookie of the year- Mike Williams, he was the best player in the draft IMO, and I think he'll start for Detroit and get alot of catches. I know Charlie Rogers and Roy Williams are talented, but Charlie Rogers may turn out to be Yatil Green like with great talent but can't stay healthy.

Defensive Rookie of the year- Erasmus James, I think Pac-Man Jones could sway voters if because of his special teams play, but it's for defensive player not for special teams/defense, so I'll go with James.

Some guy from a show on sirius satalite radio came on NFL total access one time and said that here are the posible rookies of the year.

O:JJ Arrington-arizona
Darrayl Blackstock-Arizona

My rookies of the year are

O:Ronnie brown (depending on oline)or heath miller
D:Channing Crowder

If we didn't draft crowder his name would never come up on this board. True homers !!

If you say that Ronnie will take time to get used to carrying the full load, shouldnt you say the same thing about Caddy? After all, he is the guy that Ronnie shared time with.
