Root hard for AUBURN tonight

Regardless of the outcome of this game, it proved everything I hoped it would prove. All that's left is for Ross to see it.

I doubt he will. I very, very much doubt it. But what can ya do?

The guy took an inferior team and damn near beat a far superior team (talent-wise), where as we experienced the opposite multiple times this year.

Yep. Took a guy cramping on a kick return and two auburn defenders running into each other for fsu to win.

I don't believe in saviors, celestial or otherwise, but I do believe that the football operations of the Dolphins need to be wiped clean by the world's biggest roll of Charmin. And I believe that the person best qualified to do that will be center stage tomorrow and we should hope for him to do well.

This is a dry year for head coaching candidates. No well established Jeff Fisher types out there just waiting to get back into the game. No unimpeachable assistants who have head coach written all over them. And there's no Jim Harbaugh, either, an NFL veteran running an NFL type college team where you know the transition will be seamless.

The closest thing to that this year is Gus Malzahn. I don't need to go back over his resume. It's been debated and scrutinized. And I don't want to be the guy to tell world weary Dolphins fans to hope for anything, because we never get what we hope for.

Go Auburn!

Wow Malzahn is a great coach. Constant adjustments and he came close. He would be a great coach for the Phins.

All I was looking at was players that we might draft.. I don't want to see a college coach on this team next year.

Good thing Gus is a high school coach, according to other people who have claimed it would be a bad idea to gamble on him.

He'll see it.

After days of meetings and constant evaluations on what happened this season, Stephen Ross sits in a dark room with a scotch in hand watching the BCS Championship. Watching intently, he sees something. A fire begins rolling around his guts, a passion sparks a heart grown cold, he leans forward squinting at the screen, one hand clutching his drink, the other gripping his chair. He finally knows what to do. The truth in inescapable. That performance, that excitement, that resilience...it touches him deeply. A moment of complete clarity passing through his being and he is immediately calmed by a sense of peace and purpose, "This is football and this is how you coach football" he thinks to himself.

Saluting the man on the television with a nod, he stands and walks to his phone to begin laying the groundwork. Calling Higgins, he speaks a simple statement:

"Lets go hire Jimbo Fisher"

So what, it took UA a return on a missed FG to get there, that's the way the ball bounces. How about the no call on the facemask, or the no call on the horse collar? Or how about Jernigam being out during UA's last scoring drive?

It was a great game. UA dominated on the line, but FSU never gave up, fought back and took the game...
