Ross and Ireland deserve an apology from disgruntled fans that doubted the BM trade

I don't think the Phins front office deserves any apologies from fans. I do think it was the right decision to unload him.
Top 5 receiver? Maybe in overall production but I can't forget the many, many dropped passes...the pissy attitude and the negative comments about his QBs.
The guy is not a team player. He's a distraction that has gone away.
Should we have traded for him in the first place? In hind sight...no. But, you have to take chances and that is what our front office is doing.
You can't deny that they aren't trying to improve this team. I give them my respect for trying to make this football team better.

Would you please tell me how dumping brandon marshall makes this team better? Can you please indicate to me what the phins have done this offseason that makes it so obvious to you that the team is improving? Trading brandon for 2the thirds was asinine. You want to play the moral high ground. Game, and beat your chest about morals???? Than cut him outright. That would make a statement to your integrity... not some bad business like negative return . On a trade.

Laughable....get rid of your #1 WR while trying to lure Manning....with no plan to replace him. Morons.

Like said before, we knew his behaviour when we got him. You don't trade him for 2 #3's when he gives probowl production. You at least get more, or just don't make the trade and deal with the suspension. We have arguably the worst WR core in the league now, how this makes our team better is just ridiculous. Enjoy our drafted rookie WR core boys....

I don't care about Pro Bowls. Football is a team sport, and BM does not make his teams better. Through his entire career, he has played on 1 winning team. Pop Warner, high school, college, the pro's. And his only winning season was his rookie year at Denver when he hardly played. He doesn't make any team on better. Quite often he is the most talented player on the field, and his team underperforms - After 10 - 15 seasons, shouldn't you ask why those teams consistently lose football games? Again, it is a team sport.

The pro Marshall, anti trade crowd brings up Pro Bowls, but Marshall's play has NEVER resulted in wins. Not for the Fins or any other team he plays on. Getting rid of him was a good trade, what we got for him was a bonus.

So your logic is the trade sucks, but if the Fins just cut him "to make a statement" than that would be ok? Ridiculous! Then all the threads would say we should have at least tried to trade him.

So you'd rather have a pro bowl receiver that badmouths his teammates? Getting rid of Marshall was a good decision. He didn't work out for this team and they got rid of him for a couple third round picks. Who's playing "moral high ground?" I don't give a crap that we have to find a replacement for Marshall. It's better for the team in the long run.

New coach, new system, new players. Let's move on...

Ill tell you what If we get manningham, Draft a WR in the first like Floyd or Hill and get another WR in the third and build a decent WR corp with flynn throwing to them then ill eat my words. But as of right now we have the WORST WR corp in the league and for that i will not apologize. When ireland shows he is trying to get this team into contention by bring in guys to fill Marshalls hole then i have no problem being the first on here to say my bad and eat crow but im not holding my breath.

Depends on the context. If the alleged victim was the one beating up his wife, then F her, she got what she deserved. The fact that Marshall hasn't been charged yet means that possibility is still in play.

Im just amazed that he is with his wife. the woman who stabbed him! yikes, not only does trouble follow him, he sticks with the trouble!!! bipolar my ass. its called stupidity!

Maybe i cant type well or you cant comprehend....
in the instance we dumped marshall due to moral integrity, why not just cut him and say.. see we are the miami dolphins, posterchildren for integrity and morals.... EXCEPT, we cant do that. We set a precedent keeping ricky, and asking prostitute questions. So i dont see why some folks say we were just sit hefe and tell me we traded him because hes in trouble too much!? How many games did larry fitzgeralds cardinals win last year? Can somebody vet me a link to any of marshalls teammates saying he was a bad teammate? Somehow marshall is throwing qbs under the bus, bjt our coach gm and owner all made it known they wanted an upgrade at qb!? Some of these arguments against marshall have absolutley no merit.

They were right to trade him. Parcells owes us an apology for trading two #2's to acquire him in the first place. And I say Parcells because there is no way that trade was made without his approval. I will still give Ireland the benefit of the doubt given that Parcells was also known to be behind the drafting of Pat White.

^^^^^ Not one week a go the Ireland Homers credited him with bringing in a elite WR via the Marshall trade! Now it is back to blaming Parcells! I hate Parcells with a passion he is add overrated as he is fat, I have researched him and if you think for one minute Tuna trades for a WR let alone a troubled one I have some beachfront property in Idaho i will sell you quick and cheap! Hell there is even a Ireland interview he claims he made the deal and Tuna told him he had to replace the picks

I can comprehend. You just want to complain. Somehow your post relates asking a prospect a question to beating a women. I guess in your mind they are equal.

I think it is funny that the Ireland bashers want to blame him for both trading for and then trading away BM. The FO tried. Because everything they do does not work, ok, at least they tried. That is business, and the NFL is a business. You try, sometimes it works and other times it does not. BM appeared to be trying to change his life when he came to Miami. He said his problems stemmed from not being paid and his old girlfriend. He was getting married and the FO paid him — hoping to turn his life around. It did not work, is that Ireland's fault that BM is an immature mental patient that attracts trouble? No. Before it cost the Fins more, the organization wisely moved on. Better to trade him a season early than a season late.

I can't prove it, but I never liked the trade when it happened. But Parcells did allow T.O. to join the Cowboys. After he left the Patriots due to the conflict with ownership over drafting Terry Glenn, I find it hard to believe that Parcells did not have veto power over bringing in a diva wide receiver with baggage.
