Ross expects Los Angeles to get an NFL team within five years

Perception is reality :idk:

So the league wants the rams to move to LA because of the huge untapped market, but also wanted the team to leave LA leaving behind a huge untapped market. got it
Oh, and check out the recognitions, accomplishments and scouting reports of one Jackson Jeffcoat who ended up as an unheralded an uncovered UFA. No Oprah cameras, ESPN fanfare for a comparable player who was little different than "just another 7th round pick"

Good point. I forget that large corporations never make mistakes. I have no doubt they thought the market would go without an NFL franchise for over a twenty years.

But to think that the NFL is going to lift any roadblocks that they nonsensically put up to prevent themselves from making far more money simply because a team drafted a gay player in the 7th round is one of the silliest things I've read on here since the mythical "media is trying to take down the Dolphins" nonsense from, well, last week. Wait, why would the NFL do that? To save face? To keep from looking like a player went undrafted because of his sexual orientation? To avoid bad press because of it? And here you were leading me to believe that the NFL prefers to shoot itself in the foot. Make up your mind.

If Miami starts winning does that mean less opposing fans in the seats? Will that make Ross or a new perspective owner happy enough? With the recent declining of season ticket holders for Miami why is it automatic to rule Miami out of possible moving? I know Ross said right now it won't be the Dolphins, but things could change.

Steve ross will never move the dolphins. After that... anything can happen. Not under Ross though

Anyone else see the possibility of a double switch here?

Rams >>>> LA
Jags >>>>> STL

The league would get the chance to enhance the Jags rivalries with Indy and Tennessee. Those are driving distance rivalries with the Jags in STL. There is some kind of love for the state of misery as a TV market (don't EVEN get me started about there college "SEC" team). Be weird having STL in the AFC, I have always thought of it as a NFC/NL town.

Kroenke's already bought land there. My guess is that there's a quid pro quo *wink**wink* understanding with Goodell that as a result of him agreeing to the draft Sam charade, there will be no league interference in relocating the Rams back to the LA market. IMO, given that, when it comes to renewing with the city of STL, he will purposely insist on such an advantageous deal that city officials will have no choice but to walk away. And that's just as intended.

It certainly seemed like the Rams would have to be coerced into drafting Sam but I couldn't figure out what the league could possibly offer as compensation, this theory makes perfect sense.

I think Goodell will just add two teams to the league, one in London and one in LA. I don' t see any team moving, other than maybe Jacksonville.

I dont see the raiders or bills sticking sround long term... unless new stadiums are gifted to them

L.A Jets :rimshot:

I wouldn't miss them or their d-bag fans one bit.

Im sure 5 years ago Ross and everybody else would say the same thing. Jville and Miami are actually fine markets that just haven't seen much winning this decade

Given the Kroenke situation and the fact that the Rams have a very contentious relationship with the city of St. Louis right now -- and essentially aren't tied to the city -- it seems like a no brainer that it could be the Rams.

Yet despite the crap product for over a decade, the Phins are still in the top half of overall value. The market is great. Just have to cater to it (win).

Wow another silly azz conspiracy theory. In reality both players should have been drafted they showed they were capable on the field where it should count but of course plenty of players that never did jack on field get drafted because of something they do in shorts

Im old enough to remember the former LA Rams (Roman Gabriel, Vince Ferragamo, Jack Youngblood, Eric Dickerson etc).
When I think of St Louis, I think of the St Louis Cardinals.
