Ross is NFL's 3rd richest owner

Didn't happen overnight. Owned them 17 years before they won the Super Bowl. He owned the Hawks 11 years before Ross bought the Phins. Give Ross time, he's pretty much "hands off" and is not afraid to spend his money. Very similar to Paul Allen. Remember, it took Allen 7 years before they had double digit wins and have only done that 5 times in 17 years. Give Ross credit, he is trying, and all they do on the boards is hammer the poor guy. It could be a hell of a lot worse, we could be stuck with Jerry Jones.

90% (or more) of sports franchise owners share something Ross doesn't possess.. true passion for the game. When that is in evidence, decisions made by the owner - for the team & fans, are less inclined to be f'd up. Ross is a fan, true that.. but look at whom he surrounds himself with in terms of this franchise. Baseball guys from San Diego; office pokes from Related Co.. none of his lieutenants are Miamians, South Floridians.. or Floridians period; their not endeared to the community, except for the paycheck.

Bob Kraft, Pat Bowlen, the Mara's, the Rooney's, the Irsay's, Jerry Jones.. Micky Arison; they attack the game with a passion.. for their teams - for their fans. Ross doesn't work that way. He runs the team, like a Related Co. asset. They're gonna do, what they're gonna do.. so what if you don't like it. They own it.

JohnGarry - Some of us can accommodate an owner who keeps away from controlled substances. Maybe Jim, as a role model for owner passion was framed by a police officer who didn't follow him on Twitter or wouldn't take a bribe.

Might have 3 rings since he bought the team but none since he's been the GM. You can't count the Barry Switzer SB, that was JJ's team. Switzer is about as smart as a box of rocks! So no, I would not rather have Jones and their stadium. Dallas will NEVER win another SB as long as Jones is playing GM, bank on it. HE has also owned the team for 24 years. Ross has had what? 5 seasons under his belt?

3 rings is 3 rings. I agree he should not be playing GM although with him as gm they have been the same or as good as us with so called real gm's. In fact he has a better record as a GM than Hickey's former boss and mentor Dominack.
Yes Ross has only been owner for 5 seasons, 5 non wining seasons. Better owners than him in Miami haven't brought a super bowl winner since 74, so basically half a century of no super bowl wins. Back to Jones , you count all the damn rings because he was the damn owner.
Like Ross would somehow be more responsible as an owner than Jones if his team won the superbowl.

Well if he was a dolphin some would claim the police framed him or profiled him like some said when Ronnie Brown got his DUI.
