Ross: Marshall was going to be cut/Other issues addressed

Fans complain and protest because they want answers about what is going on. When the GM and owner make public statements about what is going on, those same people complain that they don't want to hear what they have to say because they think it is all spin. Either those people are dumb, or just plain ignorant. You got the explanation you yelled for, and it still is not good enough. You wanted some insight into the moves the past week and when you get it you just brush it off as spin.

What Ross did was very classy, and I am sure some of it was spin, but I don't think he was lying at all. He truly does care about winning, and I think he is still learning on the job to be a good NFL owner. Sadly for us, it is taking a little longer than it should have. Still though, I think we are much closer to a stable front office compared to the "circus" some uneducated fans think they are.

Its about time the front office quit ignoring the fans. I however think the front office has major problems. Ireland may have be a very good scout neither you nor I really know the answer to that. A general manager needs to have a little finesse, the book on Ireland says he does not.

clearly a front office failure. should have never done the trade to begin with. Marshall is the same guy he always was.

It was done to get a weapon for henne. Like giving a two year old a gun. They tried their best to prop henne up. This is my biggest point of contention. Handing the starting job to he. Who ever did that should be the one fired.

Moore's performance over the last 9 games, once he settled in and established a rhythm with his offense, while certainly not guaranteeing anything, would somewhat suggest that if Sparano would have allowed for a legitimate, fair TC competition, we might well have been playing for more than just being a jest spoiler in that last game. Good riddance to him and yes shame on Ross for being blackmailed into extending him and enabling a continuation of his inept offensive grasp!

I dont understand the clamor to hear Ireland or Ross make statements. All you get is spin and what do you expect. I mean seriously would Ireland come out and say yea we tried to bring in somebody better to be our starter over Moore and we failed to sign anyone. That would be quite stupid and counter productive. I mean does anyone ever say Yea we ddint get who we really wanted in the draft but we hope these guys work out , they say these were the people we wanted all along. Same for Ross do have you heard him say, yea Peyton wouldnt even consider us.

I agree with you here. If that is how a lot of Dolphin fans view what took place the last few days, I can't argue with that. IMO this is the GREATEST area where this front office is awful. Their public relations is probably the worst in the entire NFL. Someone needs to get in Ireland's ear and make him understand when he is not in control of their public perception the local media will dominate it, and make it bleed so to speak.

The man needs to have a weekly or bi-weekly show on one of these radio stations. IMO in time, that would help to reverse the damage they have done to their own image. He has to understand this isn't 1999 or 2000 any more. Every towns fan base expects instant news and information from their sports team these days.

the marshall thing, manning choosing to play somewhere else besides a town he already has a home in [meaning they like miami], wanted warm weather to play in and had that here, no sales tax, and the dolphins being his fav team growing up and marino his qb hero.

ITS THE ACCUMULATION of these things since ross bought the team and made ireland his gm. keeping him on when he should have been let go with tony sparano. irelands PATHETIC reputation around the leauge with players, coaches, co workers and nfl alumni.

Doesn't the fact that the Bears were the ONLY interested team for us to trade Marshall to tell you something? It seems not many teams value an extremely talented yet very troubled receiver who can't catch the ball consistently. Maybe we over valued him and that's why everyone is upset at the two 3rd round picks in return. I really doubt we would have just cut him but I think had the Bears not bit for the two third round picks the compensation would be much less in the 5-7 range.

Alot of assumptions in your post. And Manning having a condo in MIA doesn't mean ****. It just means he has a vaca home in FL, thats it. NOthing more nothing less.
