Ross on the Finisders

it wasn't rebuild mode when peyton manning was in play...it was "franchise qb away from the super bowl" out of ross own mouth...i guess this is plan b...or c...or maybe d

And Henne was going to be better than Marino.... don't know who's mouth writes more checks that they can't cash.... ross or rex. at least rex was on the SB doorstep twice

I never once heard Ross say the Fins were rebuilding. That all started with a Dave Hyde article that said if the Find didn't land Manning they were in rebuilding mode. That Bulls**t! Miami is a QB away from contending. With a new coach running a new offense you can expect some tweeks, but not rebuilding.

Ross said, "blah, blah, blah,

Mr Ross shut the hell up and do something ?

How long are we supposed to put up with his promise, pledges, goals, etc., when in reality all we see are and organization fixated on building the worlds greatest NFL depth team..............

His words at this point are meaningless, but I guess some fans can read some kind of positive crap out of his BS.......
But hopefully not most of us......been there done that for 3-4 years, with all the things he's going to do, what a joke...

Hey Ross do it then talk...............

Ross would be given so much love if he hired a respected GM/personnel guy to run the franchise. It starts at the top...

Hey, wasn't it not long ago that we were celebrating because Ross pulled the trigger on Tony Sparano and went out and got us a coach from a winning organization who is highly respected in the league and is going to bring a *real* offensive system to our team? What can he really do other than that? Bring back the '72 jerseys? Upgrade the stadium or build a new one? Those would be nice, but they aren't going to translate to Ws.

Well, I suppose he can fire Jeff Ireland. IMO, the continued public vote of confidence from Ross shouldn't be making him feel any better. I think Jeff's on a real short leash right now.

Actually that was out of Albert Breer's mouth and he said it that he is "hearing Ross thinks the Dolphins are a quarterback away from a Super Bowl." Just like Breer also "heard" Miami was the heavy favorite for Manning. Or like La Canfora said Harbaugh to Miami was basically a done deal. It is one thing if Ross stood in front of the press and another when a sports writer gets the information second hand.

I am not defending the offseason, but the idea that "build through the draft" was always the plan is pretty realistic. Don't forget that before free agency even started, in fact before Manning was ever cut by the Colts, Philbin gave a speech to alumni saying that building through the draft WAS the plan and they would not be active in free agency. Some of this is spin and fluff by Ireland and Ross, but this does appear to have been their plan all along. Peyton Manning was the one big franchise changing exception.

people ear what they want to ear.... All along most people here said I thrust Philbin on Flynn, so what happens? We dont sign Flynn. What happens on FH? everybody starts to freak out and take a dump on the front office because the idea of Flynn not being a franchise QB to the eyes of Philbin wasnt a convinient one...

Building through the draft is fine. However, the phrase "Rome wasn't built in a day" was fine in 2008, but now it's getting old. Ireland has been here for a while now. His drafts have been pretty solid despite some very bad picks, but he hasn't hit a home run yet so I still have my doubts.

This team was complete trash before Ireland got here he had to lay down the foundation. Idk why most people dont understand that.

Because the foundation looks like it's still trash, to be perfectly honest with you.

Because we're still losing. Nobody is going to be happy until we start winning no matter what you say to defend Ireland.

A lot of holes in places where there shouldn't be holes, mainly QB.
