Ross on the Finisders

Not to defend anyone, but remember Ireland inherited a 1-15 team... There's always the fluke opportunity and they got it in 2008. Lets be honest here, they havent found a franchise QB yet, but when they do, the roster around that QB is set to make noise...

The roster around this etherial QB is "set to make noise". Have you seen our WR corps or our right side? This draft better treat us really well.

We need a 2011 Bengals Draft (Green + Dalton), or a 2008 Green Bay Packers (Jordan Nelson, Jermichael Finley, Matt Flynn) or... my personal favorite the 2010 Steelers

Stud lineman (Pouncey) stud WR (Antonio Brown) Good LB (Thaddeus Gibson)

He is on right now. Keeps stressing that this team will be built through the draft.

It's a tough pill to swallow for the fans who have seen a hit/miss ratio of about 1/8 in the draft over the past 15 years or so. Besides "building through the draft" now days is just means kicking the can down the road.

lmao build through the draft? Theyll b 31 other teams doing that as well. Miami is not special. As if Miami was the only team that got the draft memo. Guys I understand you want to trust this front office we have heard this for multiple years now. Before fa we heard we are going to make a big splash. Someone let me know what that splash was. wasn't even a splish.

Now we are hearing building thru the draft now everything makes sense? ooo can't wait for that I wonder which lineman we are going to pick up in early rounds. Then once we get all the pieces from the draft to use for building we are gonna hear oh theyre rookies let em play and get experience. It's the first year with Philbin yadee yadee yada.

I'm too smart at this stage to fall for words from these individuals with nothing but losing seasons to back up their philosophy. Im still a dolfsn and will always b but I'm not gonna sit here and fall for sugar coating. Ross needs to stfu stop talking like he knows **** about football and personal and Ireland needs to b thrashed stick to scouting find the players pass them along to a capable gm and let him talk to the players

Give the man a break ... he's stil learning on the job ... at the franchise's expense. But what the hey he owns it!

"Dolphins owner Steve Ross acknowledged being an NFL owner has been a learning experience. "I've had more owners come up to me and admit, 'I didn't know what I was doing for 4 or 5 years.' This is a different business. You can succeed in business, and it is a lot easier to do that than win [in the NFL]. You know what players you want, but that doesn't mean you can get them. A lot of things are out of your control, and we're all competitive as hell."

So how many more years do you think Ross should have before it's acknowledged that he is a major part of the problem due to his, as you put it inexperience and still learning, because I admit to having no experience but do seem to understand the obvious....OK he's a slow learner and treading water is acceptable for you, for me it isn't...........thats the difference. I've tried to be fair and give him the benefit of doubt for a few years but enough is enough........I don't need to see anymore buffoonery.
Can he change? yes, will he, truthfully I don't have a clue...

Will do the same with Phibin, support his ideas for a couple years until I have enough real proof of the Mans legitimacy.........and then support or criticize, based on the abilities he has shown.....

Let me get this straight Stevie? 3 weeks ago we were a elite qb away from the Superbowl? Now with out casting any stones we are building through the draft and Rome wasn't built in a day? Seriously I want to believe you I really do, but! The guy you have as your draft guru has a spotty record. Per his own preseason 2009 interview Ireland claimed he was running the show and Runs was there in as a advisory role. Now many want to place all blame on failed picks solely on Tuna, but am I really to believe the GM and head of player personnel had no input on those picks? The guy told the media he was responsible for scouting, and grading talent he set the draft board.

And what was the rationale of getting rid of talent on offense without replacement?

I wasn't aware that the season was starting next week. Could it be possible that Philbin would like some say as to the types of players he wants to put in place for HIS offense. Last time I checked there was something called a draft.
