RT17 to Wallace connection

We can go on and on about QBR vs actual play in the game. What we do know is that there is def room for improvement and Ryan knows this. If he hits big on some of those deep balls we aren't having the QBR argument. We need to get Pouncey back and sure up this running game so that we can be effective on offense. Ryan doesn't have to be great to get us to the playoffs. He has to make a few throws here and there and not make bone head decisions. Our defense needs to tighten up, it doesn't matter how many points we can put up... right now it looks like they can't stop a nose bleed. I watched one wide receiver basically beat us by himself last week. No body owning up to the job and saying "I got him," they just let the guy run rampid. Not to mention, we NEVER, and I mean NEVER got to EJ. We def have a playoff caliber team, but like Philpin said, he needs to pay more attention to detail and also have the team ready to play in the first half. Also, game management. At this point we know the NFL isn't reviewing every touchdown. Philbin should designate someone on staff to look at every score and call down the challenges from the booth. That Watkins score was a touchback and running the clock out with 2+ minutes on the clock is blasphemy... in any circumstances... I can't stand behind anyone who says it's not. In the game of football you get opportunites to go back out and start over. We should've went down and tried to score a TD, FG at the least. If we have a bad season, Ross will go back and look at decisions like that when it's time to re-up the contract. I gaurantee you he won't look at that from a positive perspective.... that concludes my rant.

We won't make the playoffs with him because he can't win us games.

The best thing he manages to do is not lose us games, and that's on a good day.

I agree w this. He has shown he can be a good game manager at times. But he's yet to really take a game in his young career and be the guy that lights it up / carries the team to victory. He has a nice comeback win against NE last year and I'm not discounting that. I'm talking where are the games where he shreds the D and goes off for 400 yards and 4 TDs in a trouncing. We don't put the ball in the endzone enough w him.

that was totally was a touchback. 100%. Guy lost the ball at the 3 - got it back but did not make a football move before it got knocked out again. Horrible non-call and may have changed the game.

Agreed.

Another thing he couldn't do would be what Andrew Luck did against the cheifs in the playoffs last year.
Luck played poorly, and got his team in a severe hole. BUT, he lead them out of that hole and had an amazing comeback.

had that been Tannehill, it would have just gotten worse. Once we are down, we rarely get back up, and he rarely will rally the troops.

Most expected growing pains in the new offense. Lazor has modified RTs footwork so maybe it's not technique he's used in a real game and that will get better. Great at curl patterns and outs but screens, seam passes on occation and long passes remain sub par. 4 passes batted back into his face isn't good and pocket presense is only improving slightly. I am still high on Tannehill but suddenly I'm not so sure. If Lazor can work magic with Foles why not RT. He a great athlete, he tough as hell and he can really chuck the football. Big game this week and it's a damn shame we have to play for a while without Moreno. I look for 100+ yards for Damien Williams. I really like the kid. I also love the way Wallace is fighting for footballs and making brilliant catches. Props to the defense for holding Buffalo to 9 points in the first half even though the offense wasn't helping at all.

Yes, the footwork thing. So far this hasn't helped one bit. I cannot remember Tannehill having issues with his accuracy in 2012. Not at all. At one point during his rookie season I compared his ball placement to that of Chad Pennington. I don't recall any of the accuracy problems in 2013 either. I'm really stunned that he got so bad so fast in that department. Don't know what it is but I hope he will find his groove in the next 14 games.

I wish the league would address this or the fins ask for clarification. Clear as day touchback. Mega play from grimes!

I believe there was a chat on the Herald last night and Adam Beasly was asked how Tannehill was doing in practice and he said same as in games. He's been up and down, hot and cold in practice.

The fact that he burned revis in the miss and beat him on the td is pretty awesome. Revis may not be what he was, but I don't think its by much.

Growth and development is what I want to see. Regression sadly, is what I've seen so far, and that's unacceptable in year 3.
