I'm out here in the heart of Cowboys country, so I get my fill of Cowboys news whether I want it or not. It's popped up the last few days that Dallas is targeting a RB via trade since the draft didn't go their way as far as RB is concerned. Two names have popped up as potential targets: Niles Davis and Lamar Miller.

I dont have a link because it was on sports talk radio out here, reported by Bryan Broaddus. The guy has a reputation as a responsible journalist with his finger on the pulse of the team, so he doesn't really tend to make outlandish claims or throw **** against the wall to see what sticks. Simply put, if he is reporting this, it's most likely because he was told by someone within the Dallas Cowboys organization that the name has come up.

I am NOT saying it is going to happen, or even that Miami is interested. I am not claiming to have sources anywhere in any way, shape, or form. Again, this is information from Bryan Broaddus, not by me. I just figured it's a slow time in NFL news and this is interesting because I see absolutely no good reason for Miami to move Miller. I believe that with the addition of Ajayi in the draft, rightly or wrongly, someone within the Dallas organization believes Miller may be available, assuming Bryan Broaddus is correct.
 
I think it would be a mistake to trade Miller. Ajayi might be a budding star, but he has an injury history.
I really enjoyed watching Miller bust that long run last year. I want to see more. He has improved every year.
We are not deep enough at the position yet IMHO.
There may be behind the scene interest, but I think it is just unfounded rumor.
 
miller is probably replaceable, not this year but next and i doubt we can afford to sign him long term anyways if he continues to produce at a good level and with all the spending we've done and are about to do next offseason it makes sense to save $$ somewhere even though i'd keep him for another 4 years
 
What are they offering. I'd listen but i doubt I'd like what i hear
 
This is more interesting than people giving credit for....Dallas is stocked with lineman....I'd say our offseason o line work has been underwhelming....lots of stoke about this 5th rd RB prospect.....idk if we have quite enough at RB to let miller walk but.....I can see this having legs to it.
 
hypothetical Maddeny scenario...Jones has said he would offer a 1st rounder for a RB, would you take that for Miller?

hell yeah. miller is barely worth a 3 rd. teams value draft picks we all know that. miller would never fetch a 1st or 2nd
 
Trade them Damien Williams for a 4th lol they are desperate
 
Would be a HUGE mistake.. Depending on a rookie with injury history and a guy that has very little experience in Williams...

Don't see this happening.
