Tyrann Mathieu is still excellent near the line of scrimmage. His football instincts around the ball are incredible.
And as an LSU alum, this would set my fandom on fire. He’s one of my all time favorites.

Jones at LB/SS would be exactly what the doctors recommended. I like jones but he can't cover for ISH. But he can definitely blitz and get to the QB and very good against then run.

It IS trolling when a post about a potential safety signing turns on a completely unrelated bashing of a different player.
That’s what trolls do, they keep pushing their agenda regardless of the topic being discussed.

So right now we will be anywhere between 10-24 million over the cap.
Don't think we're getting Matthieu.

Can you elaborate on how you came up with that? Not doubting, because it's a fluid situation at the moment.
Im seeing 14m under, with Armstead not yet posted. His cap # could end up being pretty low this year, depending on contract structure. I'm sure that's one reason it hasn't been finalized. The guarantees have been agreed upon, but leaving the details open allows for quite a bit of flexibility, depending on how much is prorated to future years.
Last reading I saw Mathieu could be seeking up to as much as $16 million a year. That is speculation.

Spotrac had us at 209 million. The only contract not accounted for wad armstead.
Wait dang it, my numbers might be wrong lol.
With a cap of 208 million, that leaves us at 1 million over than 4 million for draft picks.
That puts us at 5 million.
So I just took a random anywhere from 1-15 million cap hit for Armstead since we don't know.
That would change my numbers to 6-20 million under.
BUT, I like your number better haha.
I only get my info from Spotrac. So I dunno how up to date. It appeared to show all our new signings accounted for except Armstead.

I may be wrong, which I am quite often, but I think you have to be under the cap on that first day, After that then you can play ball, but you have to start preparing for being under next year on the first day of 2023 league year.

I think (not positive, but will look into it) Spotrac uses all salaries, while OTC uses only the top 51, which is what matters.
