Rumor - Steelers now in on Ramsey?

I live in Pittsburgh all the local media and fans want him gone. I don’t get it. But that’s how they feel The local media gets mad when the national media says how great Tomlin is. One Steeler message board said Tomlin was the new don shula. And they didn’t mean that as compliment
There were plenty of Dolphins fans who wanted Shula gone the last half decade he was coaching the Dolphins. Fan bases, get spoiled by the success they have had and assume that they are going to get better with a coaching change. Most of the time it doesn’t pan out that way.

Difference being, McD has been a HC for 3 years and you’re crying about people who are long gone and blaming McD for their failures.

Tomlin has been a HC for 18 years. And other than with teams built by Cower, he’s done next to nothing. Even with a HoF QB most of that time.
I can assure you that there were no tears, mention of our past coaches, or comparisons to McDaniel in my post. I don't know where you got any of that.

Just stating the facts - dude has never had a losing season after close to 2 decades, no matter what he's had at QB, and that's not someone you run out of town for not winning a playoff game after saddling him with the likes of Pickett, Rudolph, Trubisky, or washed up versions of Russell Wilson and Big Ben. As poor a move as signing Rodgers is, it kind of acknowledges that Khan thinks the same thing. You are free to feel differently, but I think he's one of the best going.

You’re right. I jumped the gun and put you in the same basket as some others here and you’re being reasonable. Sorry about that.

I don’t agree about Tomlin though. It’s true he’s had some of the same GM issues that McD has had, but other than his first 3 years in Pittsburgh he’s really accomplished nothing. And those 3 years were teams that Cowher built.

It’s amazing that Tomlin, over the past 15 years of doing basically what McD has done in his first 3, gets an excuse from some people here and bash McD every chance they get.
Tomlin has NEVER had a losing record in his head coaching career. McDaniel just finished one up in 2024. Not sure how you examine that and say that they are performing the same. But, you do you.

Exactly. With **** QBs in a much better division. Miami has over achieved and made the playoffs recently on the backs of the easiest schedule in football multiple times.
