It was still a great play to give his guy a chance in a situation where the play was otherwise dead, he had pressure in his face, had to throw the ball across the field, and had nothing to lose. That's great awareness. This should all be obvious.
It reminded me of the Joe Montana - Dwight Clark catch. Joe Montana admitted that he couldn't see Dwight Clark, and he never actually saw the catch. Montana was trapped by the sidelines, and just threw it up to where he guessed Dwight Clark would be, and Montana only knew it was a touchdown by the roar of the crowd.

We definitively KNOW that Tannehill isn't capable as such. Tannehill is taking average talent....to an average record.
Wilson lost every game this year where his defense allowed more than 24 points .... Ryan Tannehill puts up 36 vs Denver and losses and gets the blame .
It should be noted that when Russell Wilson was at Wisconsin, he set the single season NCAA Division I record for passing efficiency (191.8).
In the NFL, he continues to be an efficient passer, even when throwing to undrafted WRs Doug Baldwin & Jermaine Kearse.
Russell Wilson is simply an efficient passer, and over the long-run, his passer rating is going to be good, no matter what.
He also led all NFL QBs with 849 yds rushing (7.2 yd avg).
I have a feeling that Russell Wilson could raise the Lombardi Trophy every year, and there would still be haters saying that he's "average".
that's a noteworthy stat.. thanks
And here is the Dolphins homer..... average talent.....League's worst OL is AVERAGE talent. 32 points allowed per game by AVERAGE talent...

Here is another, his passer rating has no impact on their W-L record. Meaning, even when he plays like crap, they are just as likely to win as when he plays great.
Can the same be said about Tannehill and the Dolphins? No way.
