Russell Wilson could have been a Miami Dolphin

Lol funny how people say Wilson has two superbowls And that makes him great . Lmao .... You mean Seattles defense And Lynch who has has more yards rushing than Wilson has had passing twice already has got there. Forgive me if I don't give the guy credit for handing the ball of 30 times and throwing 4 ints

Wilson is grossly overrated . Probably the most overrated Qb in the league . Well , not probably .... He is ....

I love Wilson, but you think he would be as successful in Miami as he has been in Seattle I have a fresh cat turd to sell you...

I'm dying for the day lynch is gone and that Seattle defense is mediocre . We'll then see how far 20 tds gets you in this league

Does anyone really think Seattle would have taken Wilson had Tannehill still been on the board?

Teams win SBs, pal, not solely QBs.

Using your logic, Trent Dilfer was a better QB than Dan Marino. Get real.

I'm not talking about the days when defenses were destroying NFL offenses left and right. Dilfer and Brad Johnson were part of another era. Doubt those teams win Super Bowls in today's NFL.

I don't think Brady or Manning are better than Marino, but we don't have those guys on this team. We have Tannehill, who has an under .500 record as a 3-year starter. Sorry, I'm not buying what you or the others are selling. I want a winner, and what Russ has done since becoming a starting QB is win. Ryan has lost. He's getting better

Let's not act like Wilson doesn't make some amazing throws/runs either. Tannehill is out here blasting bullets to receivers 4 yards away. Doesn't have the touch or deep ball Russ has.

Those days aren't gone. Seattle's been doing it for 3 years now. While you're talking out of you butt about how great Russell Wilson is and how this is a passing league I hope you realize that Russell Wilson has thrown a total of 51 passes in two games in the playoffs. He threw just over 28 pass attempts per game this season and last season he was around 26 pass attempts per game. Consider that in your "today's NFL" speech.

While I do believe Russell Wilson is a special player and would love to have him as our QB, I don't fault the Dolphins for their skepticism toward Bielema's promises.

It's so easy to look back and say "We should've drafted Kuechly in rd. 1 and Wilson in rd. 2 and we'd be set right now", but the truth is no one could've predicted Wilson going to 2 super bowls in his first 3 years in the league. And also, no one can guarantee that having Bielema as our HC and Wilson as our QB would = instant success.

So yeah, this can be seen as another disastrous episode by our front office (and we've had plenty), but like I said, that's easy to say 3 years later.
And in the article, Bielema promised a super bowl only if we drafted his man and only after 5 years. Even Bielema had no confidence that we had the horses at that time to make it work sooner. Sound familiar?

How would feel as a jest fan with our new resident idiot, Tannenbum, ignoring constant Terry Bradway's urging to draft him, instead extending Sanchez who blew the last 3 games in '11 into cap hell, drafting Stephen ****ing Hill in the 2nd and not trading up 3 spots in the 3rd round???? That's who we now have to live with.

If anyone thinks that Wilson would have been as successful in the Dolphins organization as in Seattle, they are grossly mistaken. The majority of Wilson's success has been a product of having great complimentary crew around him. He also benefits from Beast Mode (who had 17 total TD's this season to Russell's 20 passing TD's) and a defense that can shut an opposing team down at will. Not a knock on Wilson, I'm a huge fan of watching him play and seeing how he responds in tough situations. But again, that mentality is a team mentality where no one will quit on him and the team around him refuses to lose.

The Dolphins organization would have found a reason to throw him under the bus for being too short and for running too much. Seattle/Carroll has that dog mentality where they will claw their way with who they have. Wilson fits Seattle well.

Fuzzy math eh? You count Lynch's "total" TD's but not Wilson's? :idk:

Wilson wouldn't be as successful in miami as he is in Seattle. Really don't think having Wilson on this team would make us a sb contender

Nobody is propping up winners And non winners here. Were simply going with all around skill And Talent . By your logic .... Robert Horry is one of the top 5 NBA players of all time .... Smh . Realize the difference

Super bowl contender? No. But Wilson beats the Jets at home to clinch a playoff birth in 2013. That much I am certain.

:bobdole: That was funny when he was with the Jets but now it's troublesome...very troublesome.
