Noticed this today when I was looking at some stats. This is an amazing stat.
Wilson is now 34-12 (73.9%) as a starting QB with 13 game winning drives.

The great QB's usually have a game winning drive about every 5 games.

Wilson is just more than once every 3 games right now. Dude is clutch.

RW3 was clutch on third down last night. 8 of 8 for 3 TD's.

Add in another for the season finale against St Louis and another in the playoffs against Green Bay. That makes 15 comeback/ game winning drives.

He may also be the only QB to ever win a championship game with 4 ints...

Just amazing. was having a brutal game but when his team needed him most he stepped up[ despite all the issues from earlier in the day. He is a special player, not a guy you can evaluate w/ #s.

If he was playing with the colts or fins defense he wouldnt be so amazing.

Credit the defense with this win.

Wilson has 15 comeback in his 1st 3 years. Exactly the same as Brady. Now he has a chance to match Brady's 2 Super victories in first 3 years

If he was playing for the Colts or Fins he would make their defense's better than they are.

If Wilson played for the Phins, we qualify for the playoffs easily the last 2 years.

Especially last season. That very good defense we had would have been ranked even higher in PPG allowed because unlike Tannehill, Wilson converts huge 3rd downs and keeps his offense on the field. We would have scored a few more PPG ourselves and given up a few less. That 8 win team in 2013 would have won 11 at least and perhaps challenged NE for the division. When getting to the playoffs, the Phins lead by Wilson would have been a very tough out.

Also, Mike Wallace would have caught a ton of deep throws for TDs. Some of those pretty rainbows that Wilson drops in the bucket would have been like finding a pot of gold for Wallace. Wilson can throw those things with what is called anticipation, something Tannehill lacks completely. I can see Wallace being even with a defender 10 yards past the LOS, and Wilson putting it up in the air anticipating that when the ball lands in the perfect spot 40 yards away, that Wallace will have blown past the defender and create a perfect opportunity to connect on a deep TD. If Wallace is even, he is leavin.

all of the issues were clearly not on Ryan but there's no doubt Miami is a playoff team w/ Russell Wilson the last 2 years.

No doubt he comes through in the clutch, but to think he's not fortunate to have had his team get him to overtime is ridiculous.

This must be the thread for posters who actually understand football.

of course he was fortunate, they needed numerous plays to go their way that he wasn't involved in but when give the chance he came through again

Really?

At what point do we stop the excuses? Defense, WRs, Lazor, Philbin, OL.....The entire team and coaches and owner suck. Poor Ryan Tannehill. If fans, media and coaches celebrate mediocrity with Ryan he has no incentives to be great. You expect perfection on every position, on every unit, with every coach yet for the most important position on offense you are happy with mediocrity. You don't hold Tannehill responsible for anything and you celebrate a dink and dunk with no YAC.

Being lucky alone does not get you to the Superbowl. You have to be in a position to be lucky. You put yourself into the position to reap the benefits of 'being lucky'.
