ryan tannehill....dave hyde's a believer

i saw that tanny had 19 balls batted down at a & m last year on like 550 attempts that's a really high # especially when you consider his height and all i would think some of that would be telegraphing his throws maybe by patting the ball and dlinemen jumping up if they can't get there some may be his eyes banging his targets anybody got any ideas on that...maybe something with his delivery...

A lot of his plays at Texas A@M were per snap reads, so he hasn't had a lot of experience reading the whole field during plays.

He's been trained to target a player before the play starts on most plays, so good DLmen that watch a lot of tape know where the ball is going so they put hands up and then they have a shot at batting the ball down.

And he doesn't pat the ball......................have you even seen him play, because from this post , sure doesn't sound like it, and you would know if he was patting the ball if you had seen just five min's of him playing...................lol crazy.

Also you wanted Luck or the kid from USC " or someone else " and everything else was trash, you said lol and now that we drafted him you want him to start , lol to funny.

By the way , Hyde's a good storyteller but doesn't know much about football....as far as the x's and o's, and if you read much of what he says you should know that.

Peyton Hillis was in the NFL for over a year and a half before Hyde even knew he was white.......and he only found that out because he played Miami. SMH

I like the sound of a "first round QB" on a Dolphins article. :woot:

Lets just see how it goes, I'm very pleased with the development but still a long way to go.

I heard an interview by Mike Berardino on the Dan Sileo show Tuesday night basically saying the same things about Ryan Tannehill. It looks like all the draft prognosticators who predicted Tanny could become an excellent NFL Starting Caliber QB with more experience, might be right. Tannehill looks like a different QB since the OTA sessions ended. He seems to have come to camp with a Moxie about him.

don't put words in my mouth and instead of doing this after the fact garbage why don't you step on up in the draft forum predraft and stop being a poser...

i'm really getting tired of your smart ass comments towards me...your flat out wrong if you don't think he had a tendency to pat the ball at a & m...mayock has made mention of it when he reviewed his tape also...

finally don't put words in my mouth and instead of doing this after the fact garbage why don't you step on up in the draft forum predraft and stop being a poser...

LOL i've been here since 2001, and your calling me a poser, lol.

I said he was a top 40 pick, before the draft and still think he'll play that way................you on the other hand wanted Luck or the USC kid and thought everyone else was trash, and now that we drafted him, you want him to start , lol to funny.

i'm not gonna argue with you...you sure like to talk a bunch of trash...i look forward to reading your predraft posts in the future in the draft forum...

b/t you're wrong about my take on tannehill...do a search if you have to...

i don't want to hijack this thread arguing with the likes of you...

I think Tannehill has a good chance to develop into a franchise qb, but let's not jump the gun on two practices and an observation from a member of the media. Let's see how this develops into the preseason.

Yeah, I find it amazing how so many 'knowledgeable' fans around here are so easily bouyed and totally swayed by what someone in the local press has to say, be it positive OR negative.

Especially Hyde, this guy makes Alicia Siverstone look like a brainiac.

oh-oh, ****s getting real... Watch out or someone will threaten to fight you at a tailgate party in front of the stadium. lol

i just want to talk football...but for some damn reason i got to wear a target around here...fine...lord of miami doesn't respect my opinion on anything i'm fine with it...i barely knew he existed to be honest

but he can do a search and see predraft where in the draft forum i was willing to say imo that ryan tannehill will be the 2nd best qb to come out of this class behind andrew luck...over weeden based on the upside and athleticism...i may be wrong on that but at least i'm willing to put myself out there...

now back to football...

so hyde's opinion shouldn't carry much weight...as an outsider i did not know that...maybe i should temper my enthusiasm

I would say Hyde is probably one of the more credible columnists. I personally enjoy his stuff more than the other local writers.

zzz keep the childish arguments to yourselves please. Were hear to talk about Tannehill, who cares if somebody made a mistake when assessing a quarterback in the draft? Mistakes happen (and im not even saying he made a mistake as I haven't read his reports)
